  1. Airfix 1/144 scale Boeing 747. This actual kit was a limited production and is around 35 years old. Most of Aifixs 747 kits were the later -200 series but early ones were normally with BOAC markings. This Braniff scheme was, and still is quite rare. Most examples now going in excess of £30-40. I got this one for less than £15! The Decals are from Twosix as I did not fancy chancing the original items after all this time. Apart from a few fit issues expected on a kit this old she went together well. The biggest problem was spraying it. After i'd done the orange my spray pit looked like a murde

  3. I was driving by and noticed they had both of their "Ride" Planes out on the ramp, so stopped for a few shots up close. If you are in the area with a lot of extra money in your pocket...could be a worthwhile vacation destination. The low budget trainer ride: The AT-6 Texan...a bit more pricey to ride in, but I bet it covers more ground Schedule of fares: Thanks for looking.

  6. Nice work Alan. Airliners can be tricky to paint, especially the ones that are primarily white, but orange is not something I've seen on many airline kits before in such a large surface area The last kit I finished was a Aer Lingus 737 (I think). That had a tricky 3-colour fuselage paint scheme (well, it wasn't too bad) but it came out well for me. Will have to take some piccies and upload. I have heaps of kits in a box still to do when I retire
