  1. After the armless incident one of our papers has asked the caa how many one handed pilots we have on our books and the reply was that there are 4 ATPL medicals held for pilots with only one arm and 6 with only one leg. The caa couldn't provide any details as to whether any of these pilots were employed as aircrew at present. All wer assessed on a case. By case basis and seen as fit to fly. I would praise this pilot for coming forwards to report this incident as it shows he has integrity and a thought for flight safety. As he could have ignored this problem and hid it from his employer blaming
  2. I see this helicopter nearly everyday flying over Glasgow The casualty toll will unfortunately rise as half the pub collapsed with 120 people inside. Rescue operations still ongoing. This is the third time a police Scotland helicopter has cracked in Glasgow a bell 206 in around 1990 hit a block of flats and a few years ago another written of during a auto rotation into fields in Ayrshire. Thoughts are with all these involved both as casualtys and as rescuers
  3. hi Shane I have panel builder running on two separate networked pc's along with three other pc's supplying outside views on the same network. I had jerky and delayed instruments on both instrument pc's when I first got it installed. I was sending my data over a Wi-Fi link so I changed to a wired LAN with a router and problems solved. try installing panel builder on your FSX pc running fsx minimised and panel builder maximised and see if the delay / sporadic instruments go away or stay as that will prove your network link or your original pc installation. if all else fails try call
  4. thanks Joe with the amount of photo scenery ( horizon and treescape etc ) it would be a pain to have to reinstall all of that again onto three separate disks instead of just one shared disk on the LAN, but before I go out and spend my hard earned cash I was hoping that one of the simmers on here will have tried something similar and could advise on whether irs a good idea or not.
  5. hi all I have 3 off pc's to run my visuals 45deg left, front, and 45deg right, using wide view software my question is this my hard drives in these machines are becoming full and each requires an identical built of fsx and all the photo scenery on them. im either going to have to purchase 3 new larger drives or if possible buy a very large LAN networked drive (cable not wifi). does anyone here use a LAN drive to feed scenery to more than one pc at once or would this prove problematic with lag etc. thanks David
