  1. Thanks Guys, I'll pass on your good wishes to our family. At the moment we're all somewhat dazed. It was bad enough losing Mum 4 years ago, I still haven't quite got over that. Now i'm just poleaxed.
  2. It is with much sadness that I inform you all of the passing of my Father, Walter James Gale, (always known as Jim.) on 6 February 2016. He is sadly missed by his family and friends . Dad was in the Merchant Navy throughout the 1950s, first as Second Cook/Baker, then as Chief Cook. He served mainly in tankers and a large part of his career was spent with ESSO. He was very proud of his Seafaring days and would often talk about them, (especially as I too served in the MN during the late 70s so we both understood all that life as a seafarer entailed.) I was able to obtain for him a Merchant Navy
  3. It was plane to see who would win this particular race, and the Ferrari was off to a flying start!
  4. Some Say, He has aviation fuel in his veins!...........all we know is he's called, The Stig!
  5. Coffee, ( Camp Coffee was some pretty disgusting liquid coffee mix we used to get in bottles over here.)
  6. Great pics, crackin' little aircraft.
  7. Looks great, though have to ask why the Italians are doing a job that the USMC were supposed to do! Great fun to sneak up on unsuspecting aircraft.
  8. Nicely done, carrier landings can be hairy to say the least.
  9. My favourite aircraft, hmm difficult one, however I guess if pushed I'd say the N.A T-28 Trojan. I have that as my default aircraft as it's a tough old aircraft that can handle all weathers. It's also able to get down in some really short and challenging fields so I guess that has to be my number one ride.
  10. I built this one a few years ago, this aircraft was the first in a long line of excellent and very distinctive aircraft. Though the companies most well known ones were biplanes.
  11. I know there are supposed to be several landable carriers in FSX but apart from the ones at Norfolk ,Virginia I've never found any others. I have a couple of addon ones but that's about it. Can anyone tell me where the others are please?
  12. Good to see you enjoying that aircraft. I got it a while ago in an earlier sale. She's a lovely little mover. Great pics.
  13. It depends how many large aircraft have gone down in that area in recent years. That chunk looks fairly clean which I'd rules out any old Vietnam or WW2 wreckage.
  14. Great pics, lovely aircraft. Hope you had the heaters on!
