I've had the JF, FSX Canberra PR9 for a while and the small number of times that I've used it it has been fine, ....That is until now. For some reason the other day when I went to use the aircraft some parts of it were missing from the model as it appeared on the screen, Now recently I'd cleaned up a lot of stuff on the PC and also dumped a lot of rarely used aircraft.. The Canberra though should not have been affected. However I redownloaded the aircraft from JF and although it seemed to load ok, when I went to use it the whole sim just crashed. I tried it again from a default airfield just

I think Brits seem to be the best Bad-Guy actors anywhere, Just look at who we've got, Apart from the late dear Alan, we have Ben Kingsly, Tom Hiddlestone, Mark Strong, Mark Rylance, Anton Lesser, Anthony Hopkins, to name but a few. It's the clipped British accent that gives that menace without going over the top. Some of the European Actors do the same sort of thing, (think a number of the Bond villians, Javier Bardem, Christoph Waltz etc). I think it's something of a problem with many American actors inasmuch that, fine actors as they are, the drawl in the accent seems to draw out the words

Alan was a phenominal actor, He could say everything with a single look, and portray menace in a way that few others could. Yet he was a great comic actor at the same time, Hilarious in Galaxy Quest, Robin Hood, etc. but of course it was his recent protrayal of Proffessor Snape in the Harry Potter films that will have made him so familiar to younger filmgoers. He was simply the best and the acting world has lost one of it's brightest lights. RIP Alan, we will all miss you. This has not been a good week for British talent, Ed (Stewpot) Stewart, David Bowie and now Alan Rickman. What a hell

Sweet, now you need to get your bird over to Syria. Would reccomend using RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus as your starting point. I'm sure there are a few ragheads that would welcome your presence!

Frank thought that by being sent as Air Mail he'd get around the red tape needed for regular passengers. The Airline classed him as a perishable but couldn't fit him in the luggage rack. -
The Star Man has left this world and the world mourns one of the most important, inspirational, and iconic musicians of a generation. RIP David Bowie, you will never be forgotten.

For a minute there I thought you had a giant B737 on the ground and the AI had all shrunk for some reason! -
Nice looking bird, that looks like the experimental "Peanut" scheme they put on a few of them.

Definately, I had Dave Maltbys one on FS9 and it is supposed to work in FSX as well but never has done. A new one would be most welcome. It would have to be good as the DM one simply astonishing! -

Such a sad occasion, as has been said, the press have no bloody idea what they are talking about.

I've just cleaned the PC down and dumped all the FS9 stuff. I'd backed the whole thing onto my external drive, I also had the FS9 reserve hangear on there, also the main PC still had the base systems and install stuff in the programme database. It took me about 2 hours and freed up something like 400GB on the external drive and another 250GB on the main. there were apparently over 4,000 different aircraft on the system all told. ( I presume it counted each individual paint scheme/version as a seperate unit). I hadn't used FS9 in over 18 months so it had to go. I've also cleared out a lot of t -
Product Review Alabeo - Cessna 400 'Corvalis' TT
dodgy-alan replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
That looks great, been after one of these since I saw one at Goodwood last year, we've a couple of regulars in there now. They are indeed beautiful aircraft. I wonder why Cessna has gone away from their high wing designs. -

I dread to think! I had to split the hangar as there were so many, even so FSX still takes a good 15 mins to load. There are probably around 1'000 aircraft split into the main FSX folder and a reserve folder on my external drive. The external stuff is aircraft that rarely get used, with the main folder for the ready to fly stuff. I did try to count them all once but gave up! -
Is this Amphibian a little dinghy?
dodgy-alan replied to Captain Coffee's topic in Real World Aviation
I just wonder how they keep the thing balanced once down. if you dug a wingtip in you'd have real problems. I know they work though as Simon Reeve used one when he did his Carribean Travelogue last year. -
Great set of pics, thanks for the ride.
