  1. There's something about an airport at night, I love the whole atmosphere. When driving the coaches airside you got a sense of things winding down slightly and the later it got the quieter it became. Heathrow was no exception, when we did the early morning Cathay Pacific flight that came in at 4:30 i'd make a point of getting airside at least an hour earlier. I'd go to the dispatch office and grab a cuppa, (Or if my coach had a coffee machine on board, make my own) then just sit out on the stands away from the terminals. It was so quiet you'd never guess it was a major airport, you'd hear the
  2. Took a flight from Welshpool (on the Shropshire border)to Liverpool. Using a Beagle/Scottish Aviation Bulldog, I went north up the Cheshire coast before turning right to arrive at John Lennon Airport just as the sun was fading. A pleasant flight in the winter sunshine. Thanks for Viewing
  3. Germany 1938 and a Heinkel 51 is out on patrol near Bremerhaven, the weather is starting to look threatening, much the same as the political situation below. But for now it's just a beautiful aircraft in winter skies. Dank für das Schauen
  4. Montgomery Scott's early experiments in Transwarp Transporting had a dire effect on Jonathan Archers beagle, It even changed the breed!
  5. Now the Enterprise can lick it's own Klingons off!
  6. Took one of the beautiful Heinkel HE-51s up for a winter sortie over Bulgaria, weather was cold but pleasant enough to fly in. The HE-51 was built in the mid-late 1930s inspite of the ban on military aircraft being in place. They served with several axis air forces as well as the Luftwaffe. The German aircraft were retired from frontline operations in 1938 and used as trainers right through WW2. However elsewhere the aircraft saw action on several fronts. The HE-51 was in many ways similar to the British Hawker Fury and the Czech Avia B534. The epitome of the biplane fighters, serving in a wor

  8. Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I'm always on the lookout for quirky stuff. I like to be different.
  9. That is one sweet looking jet. If I remember correctly they hold the record for the worlds fastest commercial jet currently in service.

  12. When Rover designed the P6 model it was designed from the start to have a turbine engine as standard, however tests showed that although it was powerful when running pulling away was embarrassingly slow as the car suffered from severe turbo lag, it was also extremely thirsty and ultimately was abandoned, However the car was born as the Rover 2000, A great car which was eventually made even better when fitted with a lightweight 3500 cc V8 engine. The Rover V8 became one of Britains legendary cars. http://www.rover.org.nz/pages/jet/jet5.htm
  13. Excellent capture, weather like that makes me head for the clubhouse for a pot of coffee! Hope the aircraft is well pegged down.
  14. If you thought the Jet Biplane was weird, wait until you see this thing! The Bartini-Beriev VVA 14 was a strange mix of VTOL (projected)Amphibious Ekranoplan and true Aircraft designed for ASW work among other tasks during the 1970s. Until now there has not been a representation of this aircraft for FSX or FS2004. Well now there is finally. Admittedly it's by no means perfect, there is only a static VC and a 2D panel with few working bits. The sound was slaved to the default learjet and even the developer suggests giving it something with more balls. This I duly did by borrowing the panel and
  15. 1966 Batmobile. probably the most iconic screen car ever. Basically it was a highly modified Lincoln Futura prototype. The Lincoln never went into production but thanks to Batman it became one of the worlds most recognised vehicles. This one is a 1/25 scale kit by Polar Lights. Thanks for viewing guys.
  16. On a C130 Hercules mission to Kandahar, Afghanistan, an Intel officer asked if she could visit the cockpit. When she got up there, she found four crewmen. She asked the first what he did, and he explained that he was the navigator and that he was responsible for routing and flight navigation. She turned to second one and asked what he did. He explained that he was the engineer and his job was to monitor and troubleshoot any system problems to keep the flight operating smoothly. She turned to the third one and asked what he did. He explained that as the aircraft Captain he was responsible f
