PMDG 737NG Flight manuals available now
stu7708 replied to mutley's topic in News and Press Releases
Why not try to wrestle a review copy of the full set of manuals out of them... just offer to pay for the plane and you should be good -
Leg two of my own quest around the world has just been completed. As you can see below it ended with an Aeroflot staff meeting in Archangelsk. If your want to find out how the trip there looked the rest of the leg can be found here. I had hoped to finish leg three today too, but sadly FSX crashed on me. The bird below was just turing on to finals when every thing frooze up.. but considering the OAT was -29 degrees Celsius I guess it wasn't that strange :th_smiles73: Also, for Peter. Here's a shot of the night sky with the Default Stars.dat. I'm no expert on stars and constellations,

Great shots Sir. Good thing the title only refered to the nose paint/name.. I had strange visions of a plane in a bright pink paint job when I saw the title

Hi Marcus Welcome back. I've missed the only other swede on this forum

Good idea. Stu7708 has been around since I first created an online username back in 1997, and I've stuck with it where I can. Mine is rather simple. The Stu part was my callsign in radio- and morse code practice while I did my military service. Since Stu is a rather common user name, and was even back in 1997 I just added my birth year and birth month to it.

Well, soon might not be the right word. From what I've seen on their forum it won't happen until the 737NGX and the 777 are done. Plus they were discussing some sort of remake of the 747 too.

Yet, despite that training regime we can't find a decent luge or bobsleigh competitor :th_smiles73:

Top notch ATWC action all the way Dai! :icon_rockon:

I guess I need to check out their payware airports too then... FTX are draining my bank account :001_th_smiles48:

This takes to long, and without my first cup of coffee of the morning my brain is to slow to write in morse right now :th_smiles73: But I think you missed an A on the second line  And what character is ---- ? I was expecting an ... there

:001_th_smiles76: Stunning, as expected. But the first shot just have to be an edit...if not, that terminal and AI-traffic is just mindblowing.

From what I understand this clip dates back about 10 years. The whole fleet of JA37 Viggen in the swedish airforce was grounded after an incident, but they had to exercise the planes due to the strong cold. So a few of the pilots decided that this would be a good way to entertain themselfs :th_smiles73: Oh, and the parts with a frontal view of our team of daredevils are fake.. most likely shot from the back of a pick-up or something..

:atwc: Great stuff Dai.. Can't wait for the next part.

Not the least bit surprised that morse code was faster.. but a fun clip, and something of an eyeopener for the younger generation prehaps... I actually knew morse code once upon a time. Did my military service as a radio operator, and spent 4-5 months listening to those beeps. Think I managed send at rate of about 60-70 letters / minute, and recive at around 100 letters / minute towards the end of my service time. But I have forgotten most of it, actually had to use wiki to deciper what Dai and needles was going on about :th_smiles73: .. -.. --- -. - -.- -. --- .-- .- -... --- ..- -..

:icon_thumbup: Funny stuff....

Looks like a great project. Please give me a heads-up when it's done... I tried a flight out of there in default FSX once.. most of the taxiways, and part of the runway was overgrown with trees .. had to take some strange taxi routes to get myself to the runway..

A bit late, but still. Happy Birthday to you Jack, sounds like you had a good one. Go easy on those drums, good thing the hole was in the skin atleast

Well I can always enjoy a good single malt in the comfort of my own livingroom. There's a few bottles there too, mainly from Islay (I think I have four different versions from Laproaigh to start it of with). But I do think that enjoying a dram in scotland, looking out over the landscape could add something special to the experience... As for driving, that's the only daunting part of such a trip. Remebering to keep on the "wrong" side of the road :001_th_smiles48:

Thanks for the info Gareth and Brian. Since the hotel is located on the shores of Loch Voil I guess we should aim for a visit in April or May to avoid the midges.. (actually had to look that one up, hadn't heard that word before, but I know how much of a pest they can be now that I know what you meant.) So, now all I need to do is convince my dear wife that this is a great idea, and make sure my parents can babysit Kasper while we're away.. should be an easy task :th_smiles73: As a fan of good single malts (the more tar and peat the better) I've wanted to go scotland for a while now, but n

From the sounds of it a trip right now wouldn't be much of a difference from what we have in Stockholm as far as the weather goes, and if I want to experience more winter I can always take a trip up north to my inlaws... much cheaper too

Hi gang. After reading a hotel review of Monachyle Mhor Hotel (Webpage) in the morning paper last weekend me and my wife are considering a trip to Scotland, to be more exact an area about 35 miles north of Glasgow (flying distance that is, i'm guessing it's a longer drive). What I'm curious about is what time of year is most approprite to go there considering weather and such. It would be nice to have an as big shot as possible of not beeing stuck in the hotel room due to constant downpour. As it looks right now a trip over the summer won't be possible, but rather a weekend sometime in the s

No problem Brian, I'm rather excited about this scenery too. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can get a review copy of it. As a sidenote for those that hasn't spotted it in the Aerosoft forum they are also developing Antarctica X! Yes, the whole continent, with some but not all of the airbases... I guess the landclass for that should be fairly easy.. Three words should do it.. "Here be snow"

Released today. The pricetag at 24.95€ is fairly reasonable too.

Thanks Kieran.. That will most likely make into my hangar sooner or later...
