  1. My compliments on a very artistic movie. The colours and frame compositions are lovely to watch. Its also quite unique. I don't recall many African scenery movies in FSX. From a simulation aspect, I take it you are not recording with FRAPS. Its very smooth indeed, so very well done. Best Regards David
  2. Hi Nigel. A really thorny issue this VAS and could be the subject of a PhD. thesis!. Not to mention a few headaches! I always follow the NickN bible to set things up, have stuck to DX9 and have so far never had many OOM's. But I have an old FSX setup, that I have weeded over the years, so the sim is not clogged with rubbish. The things I see that use most VAS, which is of course limited to 4Gb in FSX, (as a 32 bit program= 4 Gb Max) are airport scenery, advanced aircraft sims, eg. PMDG/Glass cockpit sims, and the scenery used along with the scenery sliders chosen. However an
  3. Hi Michael, yes that's what I found as one of the secrets of smooth recording in FSX! FS Recorder only records the FSX flight data and when you render using the FS Recorder renderer its very smooth. So if your Flight Sim runs with stutters, you wont see these in the FS Recorder replay and subsequent render, since the FS Recorder does not record the stutters, only the data. In the render, its optimised just for the data only. My system is old now and will stutter like mad over cities, London especially. But with FS Recorder its almost smooth.... It really is a lovely bit of programmin

    Hello

Many thanks guys. Nice to be amongst friendly sim pilots! After I discovered MCE functions with all Flight Simulator aircraft, using the FS native code, I realised that it would work with most add ons, as well as the specifically supported aircraft. This sort of re energised FSX. For me at least, it had become a bit stale. Oh I appreciated the wonderful scenery we now have from Orbx and the marvellous weather engines available, not to mention advanced sims that appear to simulate every item on board the aircraft! But, speaking personally, using MCE, especially when you can create flo
  5. Hi Sam, marvellous photos. I am green with envy. Those two Lancs with the Vulcan!! whoa! are a beautiful sight. I bet the sound was amazing! I used to live next to RAF Leuchars and saw the Vulcan up there. I have sadly moved now, but they (political wisemen! ) have closed the RAF down at Leuchars and its to be Army. The runway is still available and there is talk of it being a "Space Port" for Richard Branson's Orbiter! Thanks again for the pics...Did you video the show by any chance? Best Regards David

    Hello

Hello all. As this is my first post, as an introduction, I thought I would post a short video from my little You Tube channel. Its a musical video, for fun, of two favourite aircraft, which I am sure you will recognise. I enjoy flying detailed flight simulations using MCE (Multi Crew Experience) and Radar Contact v4 as ATC. I also enjoy writing Vox Scripts for procedure flows and checklists for Flight Simulator aircraft that have published procedures, incorporating these in the MCE program. My aim being to replicate (Simulate) real world as far as I am able. Since we now have access t
