  1. I,ve used Scenery config editor for my P3D instalation for a while now (and for years in fs9) and now that my FSX sp2 with DX10 is up and running very well, I have started to add scenery to my FSX as well. So, I would love to use the scenery config editor but it seems like it will only accept 1 simulator. 1)Has anyone made it work in both P3D and FSX ? 2)Is there a similar choice that will run parallel with scenery cfg editor? Thanks in advance.
  2. Besides, when the first one falls down and seriously hurts someone, they are going to be out of the game. I dont think the public will want these things whining around their ears.
  3. Now thats interesting. In the old days in FS2004 I used a program, i think it was called Cargo pilot or something like that. Where you yourself had to make a landing area and then the program would randomly make some routes for you. I think that when AH2 is comming out, I will join the show. I just hope there´s not to much business incl. I want to fly. I already have my own little real life business and to much figures and numbers is very boring.
  4. They have suspended in Germany as well. And I expect others to follow. The project A400 has already had many problems and was way behind schedule.. They are claiming that pressure from Germany to finish Aircrafts has been part of the problems. Wheater this is a fact, excuse or speculation, I dont know. The 2 survivors, which are both very seriosly injured were saved by a local guy who ran to the wreck and took them out. Some heroe!! Besides that, basically nothing more than what I already wrote
  5. Its a very critical thing for the Spanish Airbus factory as well. It has been delayed many times because of tecnical problems. As you say, this was the aircrafts first flight and it reported to tower that it had problems right after takeoff. It hit a high tension electrical mast when it went down. At the moment there´s no more to say. The 6 persons on board were 2 pilots, a mechanic and 3 technics from the factory.
  6. An Airbus 400M in test flight has crashed today near Sevilla at 13.00 Spanish time. 4 killed and 2 seriously injured at the moment. The aircraft has exploted when hitting the ground. Its to early to say why. There was a big fire with a very black smoke afterwards There´s a short video here (after crash) where you can see that the AC has completely burned out: http://politica.elpais.com/politica/2015/05/09/actualidad/1431171240_636813.html
  7. Can you incorporate some of the Misty Fjord freeware scenery addons in AH ? The whole Misty fjord freeware movement is something sacred for me. I had Misty Fjords in FS9 from day 1 and with all the scenery addons, which take forever to install and fly to. But its one of the last true freeware heavens in a flightsim world that since 2004 has gone tremendously commercial. Well, you can find a lot of freeware areas, but special thing about the misty area is that its based on top of a real high class payware addon (misty fjords or orbx pfj.) So I take my hat of to Holger Sandmann that start
  8. Talking about conspiracy theories, has anyone read this blog - post? He has some interesting points about P3D and FSX-se: http://www.coolsky.no/blog/assorted-blogs/497-future-flightsim-part-3-summary
  9. Welcome to the world of a million abreviations. It can be impossible to read forum threads sometimes. And it takes forever to learn them. I like that joystick arrangement. It looks really .... enjoyable, I would say
  10. What is a casual simulation. If I understand the word right, I can be pretty casual but I dont know how to simulate.
  11. Its a lovely repaint just as all the repaints that I´ve seen from your hands, BUT... the registration number G-euro is VERY polemical and could cause you serious trouble.
  12. Ok, I´m now ready to be shot : In my most humble opinion, I find the UK and Ireland (except Scotland) a bit dull to fly. If I lived in the UK or Ireland, I might have another idea about it, but I live in Spain and I find Spain dull as well. On the other hand, I really like flying Denmark, where I´m from. So, where we fly is something very personal. If you want to fly the UK, then dont get Orbx Global/Vector/OpenLC. Get Orbx european regions or get some good photoscenery. Whatever your preference. On the other hand, if you get ORBX global/vector/OpenLC, you have the rest of Europ
  13. Yeah, go for the training lessons in the C172 and take your student and private pilote certificate. Thats the way its done in real life. Also, what you learn there, train in free flight. Choose an easy airfield. Could be one of your local ones and make touch and go some times. Take a lesson, the free flights and repeat. Your back and neck ache most probably comes from hanging in the joystick with to much tension. Remember, its all about trimming the AC and adjusting throttle. The stick/yoke is only fo adjustments.
  14. Its a nice repaint. I have the AC, but its parked in "maybe state". I dont like the manual at all. It took me a long time to just get away with flying it a little bit and when I finally did so I found it to be way to automated for me. There´s a good chance that its just me not having understood a few things. I´ve been looking around for video tutorials, but havent found one that i like. Honestly, my feeling is that its a great AC addon for those wanting that experience, but that its not for me at the moment. But I dont have a lot of jet experience and I easily get jet confusion.
  15. John, now that you mentioned it, is there an addon ATC that you´ll recommend.
  16. Yes, its very satisfactory to give oneself some goles, work for it and do it. Flightsimming is a lot about that. And thats where it comes the closest to real life.
  17. Please no.... 50,-$ is NOT damn cheap if its full of bugs and the service packs dont work. When you say like that you let devellopers get away with whatever and thats exactly what is happening. For 50$ you can get high quality addons which has cost a lot more time to devellop, with lots of documentation etc.
  18. Yes, I know. I´ve played in around a total of 70 trad sessions the last 2 summers. Mostly in Clare, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim. Actually the weather in summer is not that bad. I actually like it. Seldom rains for days in a row.
  19. Oh, thanks. Thats kind. Yes, well 53 is not the worst age. Like a pair of old boots, not the shiniest but pretty comfortable. And yes, I did fly. First I took the 757 from London to Cork. Wonderfull (wet) real weather landing. I had problems finding the terminal after a succesfull landing. Later, a short Alaskan bush hop in the Brook range. Alaska looks great in this period of the year. I think I should start collecting Misty Moorings again. In FS2004 I had all the addons and I´ve been up and down, here and there so many times that I should be ashamed, which I´m not.
  20. It all looks very new with fresh paint from the factory. Its very detailed though and looks like its easy to read (now thats something that I like) What are the autopilot options. Any kind of GPS or VNAV ?
  21. It cant be compared. Its all about likings or what is called "flying style" or "sim-style" I dont have the Majestic Dash, but I know what it is and I´m pretty sure this Carenado Jet is targetted for another flying or sim style. If not, Carenado would have completely changed their business policy without saying so. And why should they do so? How long time does it take to master the Maj. Dash. You can master 25 Carenado planes in the same amount of time and be 25 times poorer. ¿what is best or worse? Some love flying or testing all available AC while others prefer using half a year or more o
  22. No, and why should I? Its been talked about a million times on different forums (price vs quality and documentation) besides they are in their good rights to do what ever they do. Our world is like that. I just had a short peek on the unofficial Carenado forum at Avsim and it doesnt look to good. Lots of problems with FMC and autopilot and there´s already a service pack out a few days after release and according to the users there it still doesnt work well. And on that forum there are many pro carenado folks. Well, I stay away. I will patiently wait for Aerosofts CRJ700/900 I have a
  23. I dont think a thing like "artificially bloating price" exists. You try to get as much as possible or what you may think is fair. I make a living making and selling things and pricing is a jungle. Sometimes if you put your price to low, you dont sell because people think that what you´re selling is not good enough for a better price etc. Carenado and Alabeo has pushed up their prices continuosly the last year or so. If they are worth it, I´m not the one to judge. I know what I think about them. They sure are pretty and thats it. This one has (or should have) so many systems incl. that the
  24. And the last one from me, Piglets Turboporter http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=36331844
  25. http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=product&correl=147 We´ve all seen it comming because all the Carabeo products have been steadily going up in price for each release. For 50,-$ I expect (besides good looks) a deep simulation, few bugs, serious ducumentation, manual and tutorial. I dont know if Carenado has changed that because lately, documentation has been very poor from their side. The quality of their addons can be and is being discussed constantly and they have their followers which is why I think they can ask for this price.
