Logging in to Steam FSX

I wish I knew just what caused the problem, brett. As I said earlier, following that update, for the first time I was asked to sign in and my password wasn't recognised. Have to admit that I didn't think to ask the Steam Support folks but as there's a choice of recapturing your lost right of entry on their selections, it would appear that isn't an unusual situation. -

Well, brett it took eight days but with patience on both our sides Steam Support has finally got me back into SE: FSX. I think I shall have a beer. What a relief. Thanks for your helpful input! -
Logging in to Steam FSX

Thanks again, Joe. I have tried getting in again via that lost password link but each time I do, having been sent one of those special verification codes, when I try using the reset password I am still unable to get in. Any other thoughts? Isn't there a front door I can go and knock on??? PS. MY original install came via a card I picked up from the Steam stand at the Cosford Flight Sim get together in 2015 so I have no record of any email confirming its purchase as the card provided a free install. -

Thanks, Andrew. That's what I've been trying to do but they are asking for details of the confirmation email to verify the account it was purchased with....I no longer have that email! No further forward.. -
I am far up the proverbial creek. Recently, for the first time, following an update to my SE: FSX installation, I was asked to sign in to my Steam FSX account. I have been using this since Flight Sim 2015 at Cosford without any major problems but now, suddenly, I am unable to sign in. Because my usual sign in details weren't accepted I was then asked to create a new password. Having done that, despite using the special verification code that was sent to me, I am still unable to sign in. When I boot up via the shortcut on my monitor the only thing that happens is a very brief popup that s

Well that didn't work, Brett. However I was at fault for if I'd clicked on 'Open' whilst in Plan G then trips I had planned were all listed therein. I do enjoy starting the day with a solution. I hope that that your day goes at least as well. Brett, that Confucius fellow was a wise old man indeed. Very inscrutable these Chinese.

Now that sounds well worthwhile, Brett. I shall try that first thing tomorrow. Gracias.

Thanks, Joe. I'll have another careful look.

This 'One Drive' is new to me but I'll take a look at it. My OS is Win 10 Pro and, in the recent past, I have been able to work through this creation of a flight route on Plan G and its transfer to FSX:SE without any problem. Suddenly the problem has appeared. I'm thinking of blaming it on Trump.

Hi, Paul. When I click 'Export' then I need to select the 'FSX' choice. Otherwise it's 'FS9' etc. I'll. check your suggestion, Wayne. If there's one good thing about coming to the Hangar, it's that one always gets help.

Having posted on Plan G, and having had plenty of viewers but no advice, here I am again requesting help. So...I create a trip on Plan G then go to 'File' and save it as a 'Plan G file'. Then using 'Export' I send it to FSX but it doesn't appear there when I click through 'Free Flight', 'Flight Planner' and 'Load'. Earlier attempts have worked without a hitch but during the last few days I've had a success. Your thoughts, gentle folk?

, Tim. I shall do some checking forthwith.

You have taken several years off my appearance. Neighbours are asking 'Who is that young fellow." Again and again....Thanks, Joe.

Gol' darn it. It has suddenly appeared. I clicked on the 'Find' under that 'File' tab and the map reappeared. God's Holy Trousers....to quote Michael Caine. Just hope that I shan't have to bother you again for ages!

Gol' darnitHi, Joe. In reply...I am online with a good connection and the Open Street Map radio button is dotted. Hmmm. I suspect it''s that Fickle Finger of Fate again.

Lawks a mussy.......my Plan G map has disappeared. I have rebuilt the data base but the map hasn't reappeared. The solution to this latest mystery is? I hope that there IS one.

Right. All is well thanks to Joe. Tonight I shall sleep like a babe. It's been a pleasure spending time with a genuine Superman. ( He said that I should say that last bit. )

Right now I'm poised to ready to carry out a reinstall having cleaned out all the original attempt. Before that, when I open the set up file all I see is a 'Readme' and the application for version 3.1.3. Is that OK to use? I thought I read somewhere on TA's site that there should be a third element. I'm hesitating before getting underway just in case there's an error therein. Phew. Apologies for being a pain in the butt about this.

Came the dawn and off I go. To begin, for Mutley.....there must something amiss with my install for as much as I should like to open that drop down File menu, for me it won't open- see my response to Andrew. Furthermore in trying to build that data base, for FSX in my case, although I can produce a popup with its choices, again clicking on the appropriate square gets no reaction. So should I put the 3.1.3 version into my Program Files (x86) and the 3.1.4 into my Program Files...you think, rather than sticking them both into the former slot??? Ye Gods this is a bit trying.

Tomorrow and tomorrow, good helpers all.
