    Hey all, I have decided to join the Vatsim network, in doing that I would like to have a push to talk buttom ( PTT ) on my X52. Do I need FSUIPC to have a PTT on my joystick for vatsim using VPILOT? Or do I have to use a key on my key board? Any other suggestions regarding VATSIM? G

    I am aware that PFPX is the way to go and I am willing at taking a look at purchasing PFPX. But for now, using simbrief/ASN PMDG 777 any suggestions?

    Hey all, I been flying the PMDG 777 for a few months now, started flying long haul. I am planning on flying the 777 from London's Heathrow to Hong kong. I want to make flight as professional as possible. I use simbrief to flight plan, and I have ASN which I take a look at before I load flight sim. Now how should I flight plan properly? I guess what I am saying is should I take a couple of hours to flight plan do I study my route, do I read the full flight plan document? I want to feel like I am fully briefed and aware on what I am embarking on, as for long flights there

    Sorry about the faulty link i have spent about 20 minutes looking around the beautiful flight deck checking things out closely and getting a feeling for switches and knobs. I also looked closely at the texture thing and in some of the screen shots I have have now posted here: http://s1348.photobucket.com/user/garb12/slideshow/ ( this slide show will show more clearly) You will have noticed that the weird texture looks like sketches, not the way it should look.( this doesn't happen in the airbus x.)     Alright thank you, for display pattern it changes on perspective I want to smooth it out cause when I am in full screen in flight sim It is very noticeable.

    I have just purchased the PMDG 777 its something I have wanted to buy for over a year now, so it feels very good but as I thought there would a few questions I would have since its such a intricate aircraft this not a big issue and probably a simple fix but The displays in certain views look a little strange here is a link to some screen shots: http:// its something I can fly with but it looks odd and not very nice to look at is there something I can do..     To answer your question Brett in regards to shutters I do NOT get shutters when flying I get a bit of shutters when I am moving side to side seat to seat manually with EZDOK but nothing to bad. The big airports like YSSY and EGLL still have weak performance London being the worst unlike in the past which is frustrating but I may just not fly there anymore. Some good news I have testing my FPS around in different airports and have noticed a slight increase in FPS and more smooth experience.     But my system has ran these addons and everything smoothly about a month and a half ago! If this issue came up after purchasing more addons I would have agreed that it would be too much but I know that my system can run this airports and other stuff cause I have flown in and out tof these cities for months. Do see my point?

    I have found them I deleted them and then i guess FSX re-generated them I have found maybe a 1 or 2 frame raise a little better, anything else cause if I can remind you folks my system has ran these addons all together with good performance so it was a bit of a shock I just wonder if I could get it back to how it was.

    I dont see the shaders in appdata-Microsoft-FSX or FSX SE... Can I download them? Could you explain a little more about how these with help my performance.

    Thing is I have had good performance at these airports and smooth performance in the past this is something relatively new. I have updated my gtx 960 drivers with an increase in performance in some airports. However still not great I think I am going to try kosta's thing any other ideas?

    I have set my FPS to 32, I will try 40 FPS does Kosta's tweaking guide work with FSX Steam? I have updated my Nvidia driver with no FPS increase. I have deleted my cfg and with no FSX increase and when clicking out of the window and faced several crashes... I wasn't happy with that. ( I realize that kosta's tweaks involve deleting FSX cfg.) I am no so keen to spend more money on addons at the moment however I will consider SIMstarter NG if I really am despite later on. Any points ideas?

    I am starting a topic specific to my FPS loss in FSX SE. Now I have never had performance issues with FPS for the year I have owned the game. I would never pay much attention to FPS crazy people so to say. I would get great performance and that was that. Now I have invested in many addons the main ones I use: Aerosoft Airbus x ASN Steam edition Rex 4 TD FTX GLOBAL ( As you will know ) GSX And many airport sceneries. And for a while everything was fine and I had that light issue with FTX global but that was it. However when I got lights back from FTX Gl

    Yes good point Wain, one last question I think I need to update a few different drivers I guess it depends on which one will those ( older drivers ) effect my performance? I have never faced this low FPS in FSX.

    Thanks Jim ahah, Ya I understand, but I think its a driver issue and something that I need to change. I will look and see if my drivers need updating. I would get 20 - 25 frames with the airbus x at London Heathrow with ASN, FTX global, uk2000 etc... I will open new topic with anymore FPS issues. As I said I want to clear this up or get an idea of FPS issues before I purchase the PMDG 777. Thanks G

    Hi all: Here are my specs simple form: I5-4960 gtx 960 8 ram 2tb I always get strong FPS but recently I have seemed to have lost a lot of performance. I will look into driver updates however as I said I am away from that PC. Cheers G.

    Gavin is back! I am away from my flight sim pc so I have a general question for you folks regarding the PMDG 777. I have been flying the airbus x for almost a year now and have encountered many issues that have been fixed some issues still linger. (I am aware that is going to happen in flight sim) I am very exited to purchase the PMDG 777 and fly those long hauls, and ultra long haul flights. When I purchase the PMDG 777 lets say in 3 weeks to a month are there any issues I can expect, bugs, anything reported recently? And what are the chances of getting an OOM at the end of a long

    Problem fixed looks like the cfg you gave just didn't over write the old I guess the new cfg was almost doing nothing. ( was named terrain cfg.1 which caused an error.) Your suggestions worked! Your work has help me so much its been a issue that has plagued me for the past 3 months something I gave up on several times with barely any support from ORBX ( besides some help from Nick Cooper ). There may be some default terrain autogene still no sure. Long story short I am glad to have night lights back, however I have noticed a FPS impact that I didn't have in windows 8.1.     I remember it said it installed to the steam location ( orbx installer ) and I checked the FSX default location: program files x86/ microsoft games FSX and there is nothing orbx there...I have never had classic FSX I have only had SE. Is there an other location that I shall look for? I dont understand the registration idea as how that would effect the installation of the scenery...But I do know that autogene is missing, cause I do see default scenery mixed with ftx global.     Thing is that I had them working the lights and all the autogene when I first got the product back when I had windows 8. Every time I install it now they don't ask me for my registration code or info only did the first time.( don't think that matters) I sent orbx last night a diagnostic report using ftx central that should report and show anything wrong. I don't understand why it won't install correctly is something getting in its way? I outdent mind trying out these aerosoft lights and have tried the free trial but I don't want to spend any more money while I bought FTX GLOBAL.
