  1. Glad to hear you've solved the issue Wayne. As a little follow up, it's unlikely that the cost index would be causing the overspeed issues. The cost index covers the projected speed at cruise. I use 35 for my normal flights which equates to Mach.77 in the cruise, whilst a BA virtual flight sees me use a C I of 0 which brings in a cruise speed of Mach.74 if you were seeing a red speedbar above 240kts in the cockpit, the most likely cause would be a flaps issue. The standard max flaps 1 speed is 235kts. From what you've described, that fits the bill perfectly. The JAR airbuses can be
  2. Jim, have you run the FTx Vector configuration tool. That could sort out the elevation issues at Compton Abbas. Open the tool up and head to Evelation corrections. Run the Auto config setting and it should sort the airports that need fixing out. Check the sim. If Compton is fine, great. If it's not. Return to the vector tool and type in the ICAO code for for Compton in the 'AEC is on' box. If the code shows up there. Rrmove it back to the'AEC is off' section. Then check the airport again. If its. It in the AEC is on section. Call it up from the off section and put it in the
  3. I'll take a look at it Wayne this week. Hopefully I'll have some answers for you. What version of the A320 are you using and can you give me the flight details so I can replicate it? Out of curiosity, check your flaps and gear settings. Those would lead to a constant speed restriction in flight. Best wishes, Jess
  4. Wow, I'm not normally a fan of photoscenery, but that looks fantastic. Great job!
  5. Just a word of caution Wayne. Apparently, Jar are going to charge you to fly the aircraft in xp11, even though there are no changes or updates to make it run in the new sim. So I'd hold off if your planning to get xp11 next month.
  6. Hey Wayne, iirc I reviewed the JAR Design A330 for PC pilot. It was ok, but there were a few issues with the Autofilght section, especially on takeoff. However, it was fairly nice, resource heavy and in my opinion, a bit overpriced. I haven't flown it's later updates to see if things have been improved, so the aircraft may have its bugs sorted. Best wishes, Jess B
  7. Sorry Chris, but having moved in the last few months, I couldn't quite stretch for the flight back for the weekend. Next year however....
  8. Awwww, but I want one.....! Still the cockpit is a bit of a nightmare, though I could fancy making a home cockpit out of the old girl,
  9. The VC-10. Sex with wings. That's all I've got to say about that.
  10. Hi Wayne. Can you still boot into windows, or does it not get that far?
  11. Oh and I can confirm that the horrible sound that happens on the Airline2Sim preview is a 'Gear warning' horn. Ben took off with near full flaps, so the horn sounded as it expected the gear to be lowered to land at that flap setting.
  12. Following up on Andrew's notes, I've discovered a few annoying issues myself. For example, it's possible to start the engines without the APU running at all. Starting the APU is also way to quick and without any sound from the APU present in the cockpit, it's difficult to know that there is running. More testing needed I feel. Jess B
  13. Nicely done boss. I currently flying the old girl above the Rocky Mountains. But I'll take a look at these later.
  14. The advantage of saabs these days. Cheap to buy, so you never lose on 'em. My 900 cost £250 and my 9000, £290. Had years of motoring out of them.
  15. Saabs were and are great cars. My last couple of cars have been saabs, and prior to moving, a 19 year old Saab 9000 gave excellent service, and with just 237,000 on the clock. My old Saab 900 had over 200,000 on the clock. Both still run and go like hell.

Sorry Wayne, but unlike fsx/P3D, the Text can't be removed.
  17. Lockheed Martin have released a new update to Prepar3D V3. The new version is available from your prepar3d account. Grab it and enjoy. Prepar3D v3.4 – Release Notes The Client installer is required for Prepar3D v3.4, however the Content, Scenery, and SDK installers are optional. You must first have Prepar3D v3 installed to utilize the Client only installer. To install the Prepar3D v3.4 Client, you must first uninstall the Prepar3D v3 Client via Programs and Features in Windows Control Panel. The Prepar3D v3.4 Client update will require you to reactivate your product, however if
  18. Awwww steph, I have given Lynda yet another jab and she has promised me that I'll have it tomorrow.
  19. Looks like the forward cowling has separated. What a weird failure. I don't think I've ever seen a forward cowling come off in flight.
  20. Hey Richard, forgive me me if this makes little sense, but I'm seriously tired after the week from hell. (And with two more weeks to come, yay!) From my point of view, generally your transition point will follow your flight plan. So using this quick flight plan I've grabbed from the web. TEA UL995 PEPAG UN851 ROLSA Z162 ZUE T163 PSA From your selection above, the correct choice would be PS25S. That will use the PS25S STAR beginning at the PSA waypoint. hope this helps. Jess B
  21. Too much alcohol and the impressions come out. Lol
  22. Well, I'm too busy packing up the last of my belongings to finish moving, so I'm not going. Though after last year, I don't think I'm missing much.
