  1. I plan on only getting the P3D version. FSX is almost dead to me now!
  2. Looks good, but my credit card is stretched as it is.
  3. Aways nice to see Aunty Lufty looking good. Nice video Jeroen. Danke!
  4. Thanks guys. It really is a cracking program. @capt_pero vielen Dank.
  5. Happy birthday Andrew, you treehouse. have great day mate.
  6. Phil, I'm afraid there may be a huge problem with fs2004 and win 10. Microsoft closed off a security issue with CD DRM software, rendering loads of games from 2003 to 2008 unable to run. Fs2004 is one of them. There are things you can try. Firstly, you can try installing the sim in its own directory, away from the default one in /programs (x86) folder. This is a known issue for lots of programs including FSX. Next make sure you have the FS9.1 update installed. It should still be available from somewhere. thirdly, you could try setting the fs2004's
  7. Moving the flight model outside of fsx helps, but the VC is still the pinch point. There's simply no way to work around the animation issue in the VC. Maybe dovetail can do something with their FS. As as for the move, well it's all to pay for next week. Apartment hunting is happening next week. We've our eye on a lovely place that's next to a large graveyard. I'm crossing my fingers.
  8. the DC-6 will come out for fsx and p3d Brett, but there'll be a few things missing from the version that's currently out. Mainly things like the circuit breakers will be U/S in the fsx/p3d version due to restrictions on cockpit animation and clickspots (clickspots are a huge performance issue for the fsx.) as as for a review, I'd love to write one, but I've currently got two on my plate, plus PC pilot work due soon. Then there's moving....perhaps once I've gotten through next week alive I'll be able to schedule a bit more time.

    Trim in P3D

JG, have a check out of this video. It may explain what the issue is with the lack of input from the pots. My guess is the X-55 software is what's causing the issue. Check out around 13 minutes 40 for a little info on how the software deals with the pots.
  10. There's a new airport out, so I'm guessing the object flow update may have something to do with that.

    Trim in P3D

Do you have the X-55 programming software installed?

What throttle unit are you using JG?
  13. Hi Glenn, the he warning you're seeing indicates a graphics card problem. What gpu and CPU are you running? at an outside guess, you should check your graphics settings in fsx and make sure you have your graphics card selected as your primary gpu. Sometimes, with some motherboards, they have an internal graphics card set that is just plain awful. If you see 'Intel 4000' or similar in you graphics settings of fsx, that might be the problem. Best wishes, Jess B
  14. hey Steph, Here's a pic from my setup with all three running. I'm guessing there's a screw up in you're scenery library somewhere. Check the following 1. That PNW is above the vector stuff. Generally it should be Airports, Regions then vector. 2. Vectors position in the scenery library should be below 'Africa' (at least it is in mine!) with the ORBX!VECTOR_AEC sitting just above the default Scenery at the bottom 3. Did you install the latest PNW or was it an old copy? The Latest verion 1.80 doesn't need the patches, though FTX central 2 should advise
  15. Great video, and the approach to runway 33 is a cracker. Try it in an Airbus on a cloudy day. It's very underrated compared to the Innsbruck approach further up the way.
  16. I've actually raced a flight in real time .

    Saitek 52pro

Actually, the X-52 pro is a great stick to get started with. In the £100 price bracket, well you can't go wrong.
  18. Better grab then soon Jim, the current sale ends on May 31st and come June, the prices are due to go up .

    Help

Phil, don't dispair just yet. Your system will probably run FS2004 fairly well. Being dual core, may help, though fs2004 wasn't ever written with multi core use in mind, but that nice 1gb gpu could be a great equaliser. At the time I was flying fs2004, I don't think my gpu hit 512mb. Fs2004 can be made to look quite beautiful and there's more than enough freeware out there to keep you busy for no cost at all. So don't lose hope just yet. Best wishes, Jess B
  20. I don't think Froogles right on the flight model. I just flew both Pipers and both reacted as expected when I applied power. The nose rose slowly before the aircraft returned to trim. More impressively I was able to get the Cherokee into a spin and applied the correct technique to get out it. Even the cub spun quite well. I tested both against fsx and the cub spun at least in the same manner as the one flight school. That said, I bloody hate that atmospheric shading. It needs a lot of work.
  21. Here are two i snapped Earlier.

    New Motherboard,+

Hi Wayne, As Joe says, if you want to upgrade to the latest Motherboard, it's going to mean a new CPU and Memory set. The current Z170 are pretty good, and bundles are a great way to save cash. Bear in mind though that to make those savings, you may find that the memory my be only 8gb or of slower type (2000mhz instead of 2400mhz+) , the motherboard may also be lacking a few of the features of the larger, more expensive boards. (No SLI support or a lack of USB ports, of which you can never have enough) if if you shop smartly, you can get some really great kit for sim
  23. Looks good, and having not used the original Airhauler, I might like partake.
