  1. Love 'em Phil. Great shots.
  2. In deference to my estimed colleague above, In this instance, NE stands for Night Environment, Taburet's main opposition and in my opinion, superior.
  3. At £79.99, that's bloody good value.
  4. Always difficult to say. However, Aerosoft offer a free demo of night environment, centred around Berlin. You can always download that and give it a try. Scroll down to the bottom of the page for the demo. http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=13040&s_design=DEFAULT&shopfilter_category=Flight%20Simulation&s_language=english Run a test flight before you install though, say from Berlin Tegel or Templehof, both during the day and night. Berlin is a very heavy area anyway, even in default. Make a note of the performance,
  5. Actaully it's a problem Orbx discovered years ago. It seems fsx still renders the lights without them being lit. It was very noticeable flying in ultimate terrain X regions from Flight 1. Orbx discovered a sort of solution by using a new script called 'Ftx day' and 'ftx night'. Essentially, clicking ftx day disabled the hidden lighting in areas. Ftx night reset the lighting to 'on' both scripts are available as part of ftx central. As for Taburet, well I don't like their products. They make some god awful scenery for x plane that to be honest, you can make yourself. Their lightin

    Simconnect

Just to follow up on Joe's post. To get simconnect running over the network. 1. Install the same simconnect module you have on your main pc on the client. For extra safety you can install all versions, but in theory installing the same version should work. 2. Create a simconnect.cfg file using joes link and place in you 'docs' folder of the client PC. 3. Check you have a simconnect.ini file in your fsx/p3d app data folder. Make sure you have the right IP address of your machine.the the file isn't there, create one using notepad++ and copy the info found in joe's link. S
  7. I try not to think about it!
  8. Hey Captain Coffee, i had had no issue with this scenery and open land class. As long as the airport is above the orbs stuff, all is well.
  9. 'I got 99 aircraft, but the road ain't 1'
  10. When you use downloaded metars to get your vacation weather!
  11. Cracking review mate. If I'm ever in The market for yet 'another' twin, I'll put this in my list. Love the period charm of the cockpit.
  12. Indeed, so it was written.
  13. Lynda and I often look at the sky and complain how 'unrealistic' it is. Same goes for water above 5000 ft.
  14. Just a Few random shots from Japan's most Northern Islands.
  15. We're waiting on possibly getting a review copy Phil, and yes after six years, she's a real star.
  16. . That said, you know my Sunday flying attire. (Runs for cover).
  17. It's only to much Joe if she's in uniform!
  18. You fly into Heathrow irl and comment. 'Frame rates look good' as your downwind for 09L
  19. I looking forward to picking this one up. Tegel is regular destination for me.
  20. Gibraltar X works fine. Not bought the Balearic Islands but it should be fine. As for Innsbruck, a new p3d version is inbound!
  21. Hi J.G. Ive been using the Estonian migration tool for quite awhile and I've generally had no issue with it. From what I understand about it, it fools installers into seeing your entire p3d install, app data and all, as your fsx install. It messes around with the registry in some form. Pin use its all very simple and rather automatic. Once installed, you'll be asked to confirm the location of your p3d install. Once that's done, the main program window opens and all you have to do is click the enable tool button this does all the hocus pokus stuff. Now just install yo
