Ever since this section was announced, I wanted this leg. After all, how many times do you get to fly a large aircraft into London City? Anyway, on to the story! The plan was simple. Train to Heuston, bus to the airport, flight to East Midlands, bus to Nottingham, train to London St. Pancras, Eurostar to Brussels and finally another train to the airport. Simple? To me, yes. When I got word that Joe had landed at Brussels, I set off on my extended journey. Of course, flying Aer Lingus to Brussels would save about 2 days, but where is the fun? The Baton was finally in my grubby hands again after a quick meeting with Marcellus. I felt really sorry for him ending up second after Sharon, but what can you do, that lady knows how to fly! After my arrival in Cilacap on Java I had followed the challenge closely while making my way to Brazil to enjoy a few matches in the world cup, and once I got word of the problems my fellow pilots were having with forces from an unknown source I had started to make my plans for this leg. NOTAM Announcing section 6 - Bidding closed

Greetings all adventurers. With Section 5 done and dusted it's time to set our sights on the African continent in section 6, although we will be heading to a few European airports too.. This time the departure board is only half as long as the previous two sections, so I hope we will populate the 8 flights in a fairly short space of time, and once we are done with this section we will be on the home stretch of this Around the World Challenge. Greeting all member. With John Guest bringing Section 3 to a close a few days ago with his flight in to Kaitaia it's now time to announce section 4 of the fifth ATWC, and it's a long one. The section is split into 15 legs taking us across New Zealand, Australia and then ends in Port Moresby, Papau New Guinea, covering just shy of 4 900 nm if you fly direct between the airports (The massive departure board can be found at the end of this post). Greetings all pilots With the second section finished and the Baton waiting for further transport out of Santiago, Chile, it's now time to let the cat out of the bag and announce Section 3. Below is the list of all of the seven legs that will take us over the Pacific Ocean ending with landfall in the northern parts of New Zeeland.
