  1. The latest version of the Operation Chastise Training Mission has been uploaded to the MH File Library - you should find it here: http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/files/file/2240-operation-chastise-training-mission/ Why not have a go and see how you'd compare with the pilots and crews of RAF 617 Squadron when they attacked the Ruhr dams with 'Upkeep', Barnes Wallis's Bouncing Bomb. Although the mission was designed for the MKIII Lancaster, you can fly an aircraft of your choice (as long as it will attain 200 KIAS!) Post your screenshots here - Thanks! And Thanks
  2. Here's a short video trailer for an up-coming FSX mission to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Operation Chastise, the Dambusters: I hope to release the mission for download sometime early in May - before the Weston Sim Show. Let me know if you're interested... Thanks. Cheers - Dai. Edit: New Trailer added on 05May13...
  3. Hi all! As I stated in my last RIAT posting, I also went to the East Kirkby Heritage Centre, where a taxiable Lancaster is based. What a sound, I can tell you! First up is an overall shot of NX611, also registered as G-ASXX on the civil register Close up of the artwork Merlin power Long shot Tail gunner - one of the coldest and lonely places Liked the lighting on this one With a bit of time to kill before the taxi, we went into the hangar, where the remains of a Hurricane are displayed Selection of parts A fully-inflated Mosquito main wheel The remains of a H2S map
  4. Here are a couple of videos, issued by the Ministry of Defence, taken from aircraft in the BBMF formation on Jubilee Day. The first starts with a somewhat over-crowded Lanc cockpit and follows with the bomb-aimer's view: And more from a Spitfire's cockpit and the Lanc's 'hot seat', the tail gunner's turret: Enjoy! Cheers - Dai.
  5. Here's how the 'Old Lady' does it - bang on the Numbers and no bouncing - enjoy! http://vimeo.com/38270062 Music may be a bit before your time, but so was the Lanc! Cheers - Dai.
  6. After nearly 70 years locked away in their secret archives, the MoD have just released this newsreel footage of the Reculver trials of Barnes Wallis's 'bouncing bomb', Upkeep. http://vimeo.com/39361058 Enjoy! Cheers - Dai.
