Aircraft Aviation 2
Hello all! After a very long time waiting I have finally received my EASA PPL (A) Licence, after having started flight training in early 2009. Some of you may know that my initial application for a PPL was rejected because we had missed a signature off one of the application pages, which knocked the licence back around 4 weeks. There's a hint for any future PPL applicants; make sure EVERY single scrap of documentation is 100% perfect, I can't stress this enough! I passed my PPL skills test first time round on 22/2/2013 and did all of my flight training through Phoenix Flying School at Netherthorpe, Worksop. Nonetheless it has arrived, here are a few photos: And a few photos of flying I did last Saturay prior to reception of my PPL: Now to get back to some review writing! Cheers, Jack
brett 2,315
Well it looks totally official now. Congratulations and well done Jack. Everyone knows how much work and time it takes to get a license so it makes your accomplishment that much more impressive. Thanks for the pictures too, hopefully in a few years you will look a little(but not too much ) more relaxed.
hurricanemk1c 195
Congrats Jack! Was trying to work out some of the places in the photos, but failed!
Aircraft Aviation 2
Thanks you very much Brett & Kieran! I was going for the cool Maverick look in that photograph... @Kieran: This flight routed me from Netherthorpe (EGNF) -> TNT VOR (Carsington Water) -> Ashbourne -> Belper -> Worksop -> Back to EGNF. Hopefully you can find a few on the photos! Cheers, Jack

Aircraft Aviation 2
Thank you all! @Joe I'll let you know when I'm down South and we shall meet, and I shall take you for a spin (or would that be a stall?). @Dai I think I deserve a holiday, I haven't been abroad for so long... Fancy buying me a ticket!?! @Britfrog I am looking to take this commercial yes. I shall get my IMC, then Instrument Rating, CPL, ATPL and so on... And then just hope for a job. Fortunately I am not one of the many thousand delusioned people who think the second they get an ATPL they get a free job. That's why I'm doing the modular route, integrated is far too many eggs in such a small basket.

I can't stress enough, how we are all proud of you, vey well done indeed. It would be a pleasure to come and meet you on your first flight to Inverness. I will be on the apron waiting for you. Congratulations Sorry for not being in touch much lately, but you can read in the forums, why not. Looking forward to your reviews again, always very technical but great reading. Cheers
Aircraft Aviation 2
Thanks you very much Brian, it would be a pleasure to fly to Inverness when I can afford the fuel. It would also be nice to get a fair bit of experience post-PPL before going "long range" up to the Highlands. How is the NPPL coming along, last time we talked you mentioned that you were considering going for it. Cheers Jack
