autoq 0
Happened across this a few days ago... Some of the issues (removing perspective ,etc) that this this wee program highlights from over 40 years ago are surely still relevant in the production of photo scenery today (never mind actually integrating the digital image into the target environment..). http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/aerialjourneys/5320.shtml (anything with Raymond Baxter is of course always watchable... ) Of course, flight-simulators/ Google Earth ,etc then try to build perspective back-in again to display the region from our point-of-view Actually having watched this, only then did I actually start to think about the complexities of 3D rendering/projection/shading ,etc... . It certainly made me re-appreciate the FPS in all my flight-simulators !
mutley 4,497
Hi autoq and welcome to our forums. That's a great find and as you say very relevant to photo scenery we use. It would be great to compare this with what they do today. Thanks for sharing Joe
dodgy-alan 1,587
Incredible to see that and then think about what we can do today.
