ddavid 149
Who needs a £6 billion carrier when you can do this? http://www.flyingmag.com/pilots-places/pilots-adventures-more/video-small-airplane-lands-cargo-ship I doubt if the accompanying auto-gyro could have managed the landing... allardjd 1,853
Oh, THAT kind of Foxbat. I was thinking of a Mig 25. Pretty cool. John
ddavid 149
I can see Clint Eastwood getting out after landing the other Foxbat on a veeeeery long super-tanker! Nice one, John... Cheers - Dai.
dodgy-alan 1,587
Very nicely done, but when you think about it, many early aircraft carriers were converted merchant ships so really the whole thing has gone full circle. the A-22 is a great little aircraft. I've got one in the hangar. May have to try this and see what happens!
brett 2,314
The landing scared me the most, whew, that was close.
M.I.B. 39
Great stuff! I like that craft and there's a marvelous freeware simulation of it by Rick Piper, I suppose that's the one Alan is talking about. I've added it to FSK library HERE.
flybytes 34
Even taking the tanker speed into consideration, either the video editor was replaying sections of the film for effect or the head wind was very fast & variable! At the end of the day, video editing or landing an aircraft, timing is so crucial. Ray.

It really is a lovely aircraft to fly. I did a whole thread on it not so long ago. http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/11026-foxbat/?hl=foxbat
