MartinW 0
Seems very good. No more wind shifts, no more S turns, no more vanishing weather. On my brief test flight I didn't even see a flicker as the weather updated. Full overcast, no gaps, and excellent turbulence. No need for FSUIPC wind smoothing any more. Easy to use as well. I was an REX fan, this is my first HiFi product, all credit to them. Great job.http://www.hifitechinc.com/
mutley 4,487
Thanks for the heads up Martin, I believe there is a 7 day free trial as well.
britfrog 180
There is an introductory video to watch here one big downside to this new release is that it no longer supplies textures, it relies on what is in fsx, or what you have installed ie REX so if rex decide to also become a weather only program it seems that we have taken some massive backward steps
Bruce (a.k.a. brian747) 142
Big downside??? Perhaps there might be a problem if you don't have any texture injector (and would like additional textures), but having bought ASN at the upgrade price from AS2012, I simply run AS2012 first and inject the textures, then close it and open ASN. But the upsides are the big news as far as I'm concerned. I have to say that I am mightily impressed with its depiction of overcast cloud and thunder — see my Christmas flight account here for some pictures: http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/11830-tales-from-the-‘pit-—-bruce’s-festive-flight-and-seasonal-greeting/#entry99695 Cheers, Bruce (a.k.a. brian747)
brett 2,280
Seems a waste of steps to have to run their other program first and then the new one just for the textures you already have from them.
