ddavid 149
Only just announced today, FSWidgets offer a free download of a Moving Map module based on Google Maps (not Google Earth). Details here: http://fswidgets.com/shop/download_files.php GMap installs very easily - and is compatible with FSX flight plans. Runs quite smoothly - but you have to be aware that FSX can Pause when you click controls on GMap (this can be disabled on the CFG, I think) as it is a separate task. Here's what it looks like on final approach to 08 at St Athans using the Beechcroft Baron: Unfortunately, the GMap window is quite large as a proportion of my (relatively small) 17" monitor. On the FSWidgets website, they show a larger screen (24"?) where the GMap display size looks more in proportion. Also, taking screen shots with the "V" command won't show the GMap contents - I had to PrintScreen and paste to get he above screen shot. Have fun - I did! Cheers - Dai. :dance2:
ehunyadi 0
Looks neat! I'm still using FSX Google Earth Tracker on my eeePC while flying on my main computer. Works well even though the eeePC's screen is so small.
