Although both were obsolete by the time WW2 got going they had been combat proven in the Spanish Civil War and again they made their mark on the Germans in the early part of WW2. They proved to be tough, rugged aircraft and in the right hands, formidable oponents against the Luftwaffe. The I-16 is the Monoplane and the I-153 the biplane, for those that may not know. Corsaire31 419 Posted January 3, 2015 Report Share Posted January 3, 2015 Nice pics ! I am flying the I-153 in my present VVS 1941 campaign in IL2 1946, just hoping I don't meet Bf 109s too often ! Never been very lucky with the I 16 except when I get the type 24 with 20mm cannons. ( and you have to operate the landing gear by hand - simulated by hitting Shift-G or Ctrl-G ) 1 Link to post Share on other sites
