lewblok 1
I have tried installing this 4 times and get the error message each time. I have built a new computer with all of the bells and whistles just to run my FSX and now cannot get it loaded. OS is windows 7 64 bit with ie7 4790 processor, 16g ram, Samsung 1tb sata drive, nividia evga gtx 780, mob is gigabyte Z97X, LG cd/dvd reader. Would appreciate any help. All of my research covers everything you can think of. Changing registry files to purchasing a new dvd reader.
Gunner 69
it seems , that it can be caused by a lot of things - DVD driver, memory... A lot of solutions here: http://forum.flyawaysimulation.com/forum/topic/22174/error-1335-during-installation/ I would try and make iso images from the disks on a different computer and then install from a virtual drive. good luck,
dogtrack 336
Could be an out of date "Windows Installer 5"....have you fully updated your OS after running your W7 Disc ? This will give you the necessary msi bits and pieces to modify earlier versions.
mutley 4,439
Try running this Microsoft tool https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall it helped me out a few years ago with a similar problem.
