Bruce (a.k.a. brian747) 142
The cameraman is somewhat distracted by the rehearsing dancing girls in the early part of this clip, but I'm sure the mature members of this forum will overlook that. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x28jjnw_crazy-landing-with-a-jumbo-747-while-cute-girls-are-dancing_fun Cheers, bruce a.k.a. brian747

Bruce (a.k.a. brian747) 142
Hi, Graham! And a very warm welcome to the Hangar! Funny you should say that: I've watched the clip, ooh, no more than a hundred times or so (purely in the interests of research, you understand <*cough*> ) and I still can't see how it was done. I can only think that it was a product of sophisticated green-screen technology, but that could imply someone with access to movie-industry quality video equipment, or something/someone close to that level of hardware and editing knowledge, anyway. Maybe One Day The Tale Can Be Told? But a heartfelt ten out of ten to whoever produced it! Cheers, bruce a.k.a. brian747
brett 2,303
Hi Graham, with today's editing programs almost anything can be done and only professionals would see it. Rest assured that it is next to impossible for that to happen and that jumpy photography combined with lots of cut scenes is a perfect recipe for fakery. Welcome to the Hangar Graham, glad to have you aboard.
allardjd 1,853
The video editing confirms another of Allard's Laws of Power Plant Maintenance - "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see."
Bruce (a.k.a. brian747) 142
<grin> In my young days (OK, yeah, half a century ago so please be mind to me) people would say (and mean it) "The camera never lies". Something clearly went wrong, somewhere.... Cheers, B.
