J G 926
Hi All. For some reason FSX has died on my PC. I click on the FSX icon, the little wait/processing circular thing appears for a couple of seconds and then nothing happens at all. I can only assume that FSX is crashing at start up. Are there any log files included in FSX that I can look at to see what is happening? J. Edited August 30, 2017 by J G
rosariomanzo 545
Try deleting FSX.cfg and restart FSX (backup the current one). A new fresh cfg will be automatically created. You will have to apply your tweaks again (copy/paste from the backup). Edited August 30, 2017 by rosariomanzo
J G 926
Thanks Rosario, I have tried your suggestion but It didn't work. FSX is crashing before it is getting to the FSX.cfg file. I changed the FSX.cfg's name and tried to start FSX again. The same thing happens and no new FSX.cfg is created. rosariomanzo 545
Try to check exe.xml opening it with notepad and looking for non conventional entries. You may post the content here.
rosariomanzo 545
Another thing to do before exe.xml. Maybe your logbook is corrupt. Search logbook.ini in your Documents/FSX files folder, back it up and delete it. Restart FSX.
J G 926
I have found the issue with this. It was a windows update. I rolled back the windows update and then everything was fine.

J G 926
Not sure but one in the last week or so I think. I will try to get more information on it when I get home.
