It just became one of my favourite MET routes - a combination of the scenery, setting sun, and beautiful A321. Sorry about the RC4 display and other pollution in the shots, I'm trying to get rid of them :smile: Enjoy!! MET413 : KONT-CYVR : A321 Dep 1800 (0100z), Arr 2050 (0350z) POM7 EHF J65 CZQ LIN J189 SEA PAE PAINE1 - FL330 Boarding at gate 212/G5 with plenty of company traffic around. I didn't like having this terminal completely deserted so I messed with the AFCAD to get more MET aircraft parked here. Taxiing out with a company A319 in tow. Lining up on 26R for some parallel takeoff action with a UPS 767! No messing with reduced thrust this time. We're heavily loaded and have 11 tonnes of fuel on board. Rotating off 26R. Passenger's last view of LA-Ontario Airport. Blasting out of the San Bernardino valley as we follow the POM7 departure. Encountering snow over the mountains! Ironically weather in Vancouver, 1000nm north, is warm and sunny. Snow-draped mountains and "cumulus granitus" a few thousand feet below. Cruising at 33,000ft (heavy A321s don't go much higher) and turning at the LIN VOR. Passenger's view of Seattle, the last US metropolis we'll fly over, as we start our descent. More beautiful scenery as I review the PAINE1 arrival for runway 26R at Vancouver. Excuse the ATIS message - I was pretty busy when this shot was taken! Turning over the Vancover suburbs, and, more specifically, the YVR VOR. Passenger's view of the fading light as we begin the approach. 2 mile final for 26R and we're cleared to land. Gently does it... All the bells and whistles slowing us down. Taxiing away from the setting sun. I like this one. Parked up at gate 92, with passengers de-boarding.
