UKJim 502 Posted November 5, 2011 Report Share Posted November 5, 2011 I have just completed my first official flight from East Midlands airport to Brussels National - had a spot of rain along the way and patch of turbulance but all is well. The taxiway was miles away from the runway felt like I was taxiing forever. I was using the IFR setting and was in my duke naturally aspurated. UKJim 502 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Share Posted December 4, 2011 Just took the A2A Piper Cub out for a run 16:04 dusk (it's been a while) - started at Concrete Muni / Parking 1 then took off runway 25. Followed the river around at 1,000 feet / 70 MPH passed Stutter Mountain and Rockford State Park then turning to head towards Rinker Ridge and Rinker Point. Continuing down the river and following round the North Mountain on approach for runway 10; the cub didn't descend quick enough so I had to abort and go around - this was nice though because I got to view some of Backman County Park before turning and landing on runway 28 instead. This time it was spot on and I taxied to parking in front of a nice glider Link to post Share on other sites
