Tim_A 996 Posted February 2, 2012 Report Share Posted February 2, 2012 I was about 10 minutes early getting to the airport -- not surprising since my test time was much faster -- so I did a flyby and circuit (hence pic 5). Now I misjudged that manoeuvre last year and ended up over a minute late, but I think I got it in pretty close this time. Link to post Share on other sites

GAAR 2012 Flight 10 - Bringing us home! Great Australian Air Rally 2012 Flight Leg 10 – 1630 hrs, 10 Feb 12 Lockhart River (YLHR) to Cooktown (YCKN) 193 nm Here's the final flight for Team Mutley. Dai, reporting in, flight time 89.64 I'm not sure what Kieran had been up to in the cockpit, but there was coconut everywhere! Timer is running, An easy off from Lockhart River As ever the GAAR Director always has us taking off in the wrong direction so round we go Quite a bit of flying over water (Again) Coral reefs ahead Late afternoon and the sun is getting lazy Classic DC-3 More islands, there must be thousands in this region Over the mainland again. Another GAAR pilot ahead? Our destination Heading out to get a good run in Base, just about to turn final Straight all the way in Steady as she goes Final adjustment Timer stops at 89.64!
