mutley 4,497
As part of our X-Plane double-header this week Joe Lawford has been sightseeing in X-Plane using Flight1's VFR Photo Scenery for X-Plane. Would this tempt a UK FS pilot to try X-Plane? Read on...

needles 1,013
A very nice review Joe. It does look good but I am not using XPlane at the moment plus Playsims' Scotland Scenery has a 5m terrain mesh as opposed to a 10m mesh with this and .50m/pixel scenery. It still looks impressive though. Cheers
ddavid 149
I think I'll wait for Darren to catch up with X-Plane Treescapes... Good Review, Boss - Thanks for all your efforts! Cheers - Dai.
mutley 4,497
Dai, I did ask if TreeScapes where to be made available but it wasn't confirmed or denied, With the OSM2XP program you can make your own. Darren uses a tool very similar to this to generate his trees. Cheers, Joe
ddavid 149
Thanks for the H.U., Joe - I'd not heard of this OpenStreetMap facility. Maybe LimeSim used OSM2XP for L.A.-X? There is supposed to be an FSX version coming up - and P3D too, perhaps... Cheers - Dai.
Kasper 14
Good review, no need to stop using FSX/Orbx yet but progress is certainly being made. The series will surely be a contender for the future former FSX market.
