Think I'd have taken a model 14 though for the extra capacity. (the 14 later became better known as the Hudson!) Link to post Share on other sites

This one is the L-10E model with extended range tanks and uprated engines as flown by Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan on their ill-fated round the world attempt.
