St. Pete Russia to Heksinki

A short flight, 165NM in the MD-80 from St. Pete Russia to Helsinki Finland.

First we go into the dispatch module and select the passenger load and fuel and then send it to the FMS

Once we have everything set we request Pushback and startup from the ground crew

With my propensity for getting into trouble I always breathe a sigh of relief when I leave Russia. :P Thanks for the ride along, detail pics and 10 minute wiz break Richard. :thum:

 

I have to ask what that black wheel lock looking thing on the bottom of the front gear is. Did you park in a no parking zone? :D

No Brett it's not a wheel clamp, they are grit/foreign object deflectors to prevent cra foreign objects being ingested into the engines. The DC-9 family were prone to that.
