The Dam Busters FSX Missions - Eder Attack

Recommended Posts

My first short video to learn "how to do it." Time of day and attack route historically correct - down ravine next to Waldeck castle, 90d left turn, over small promontary (headland of the Hammersberg). Speed correct. Height over water est 60ft (!). Dam wall not present in default FSX scenery, but approx level with building on left, at end of run. Not sure if the aileron response is Lancaster correct but it's surely slow! Note: Shannon made 3 non-drop runs. Maudslay made 2 non-drop attempts. Shannon dropped then on 2nd attempt. No breach. Maudslay then dropped on second attempt, too late, mine exploded over dam wall. Knight made final attempt with last mine, and breached dam. So it wasn't easy in reality.

Next: upgraded scenery. Enroute low-level navigation scenes.

OK, It looks as though my link to the UTube video didn't get inserted into the above post. Grumble, grumble.

Peter.

Let's try again:

OK. I think that's better.

I'm using FRAPS, which produces a prety largish AVI file. This file is a cut-back MP4.

Suggestions on paramers for good resolution, without UTube getting upset about file sizes?

Peter.

Wow, very eerie!

What you need is something like Windows Movie Maker which will let you edit the file and save in a compressed format that YT likes.
