Port Macquarie -> Coffs Harbour -- The scenic route through the mountains

Recommended Posts

Thought I would do another route through Australia and see how high my bananza A36 can go before it cries at me - @5500 feet it still had plenty of juice but did become a bit tempermental :)

Started out taking off from a dirt runway and flew between 1500/2000 feet to the first waypoint. Increased altitude to 5500 feet gradual to next waypoint on top of the mountain, got a bit shakey and cloudy but I made it.

To the next waypoint and decending back to 3500 feet through the clouds then down to around 2000 feet following the mountain decent.

Finally landing at Coffs harbour and into some grass parking (never seen that before but hey interesting)

Here is the route:

Clear to admire the view again - nice country road to follow maybe on a different day?
