  2. Hi to all, For those that may be interested flying the Great Australian Air Rally for 2016 the event will start on February 01. The event is now open for test flight and registration. Information can be found at www.bluegrassairlines.com the click on the GAAR 2016 link. The GAAR web site will be up-dated in the coming week to include full flight plans, nav and airport information etc etc. so please check the web sight regularly for the latest info. For the event you may fly any piston engine or turboprop aircraft built between 1903 to 1975. We hope that many of you will join us for this
  3. Thanks guys, I did not know about the UK version, will definitely check it out. I did the flight plans for the NZAR and finally talked the Bluegrass CEO into updating the aircraft types available. You can still fly the Wright Flyer if you wish or something a little more modern. Rob

Hi to all, Some pilots here will be familiar with a air rally called the GAAR which for those not familiar GAAR stands for " Great Australian Air Rally", this is held in February each year and hosted by VA Bluegrass Airlines. The idea behind the GAAR is you choose your selected aircraft, fly a short test flight and time yourself between two nominated points then submit your registration and flight time for the event. The GAAR itself is a downloadable flight plan of around seventeen legs flying to various townships within Australia and submitting your time for each leg. It is a fun event, n
