BigDaddy1038 0
Hi, All. Just wondering; has anyone had any opinions/comparisons on these two yet? Would love to get a first hand view from Andrew Gooden, now that he's had a chance to see both. Regards, Michael
Andrew Godden 945
Michael, Each product has its pros and cons, however, the results of the respective reviews speak for themselves with the JF TriStar considered superior. If you are into procedural flying, with detailed functioning systems, then the JF TriStar is the aircraft of choice. It has excellent supporting documentation and also comes in different aircraft configurations by way of the RAF variants. The additional livery packs add further choice, but as separate add-ons. The CS TriStar is better suited to the non procedural flyer and also has better ground animations and static elements. A large range of free liveries are also available on the CS web site. However, the freighter version is a separate add-on. Both versions fly very well, with particular attention needed in both to ensure you don't fall off the back of the power curve, particularly during the climb phase. On the price / value for money assessment, they are on par with each other, plus or minus a few dollars (this excludes the JF Livery Packs but includes the CS Base pack and Freighter pack combined). In commercial airliners, I personally prefer a more procedural based model. So, for my money, the JF TriStar is the aircraft of choice. Cheers Andrew
