SEATAC 400
Found a nice little restaurant at KFXE called the Jet Runway Cafe from which you can enjoy a meal and watch the aircraft taxi, takeoff and land right outside the window. Here are some of the more interesting planes that I saw. Citation X A very old C-123 A 45 year old Britten-Norman
allardjd 1,853
Very nice. Love the C-123. I saw one of those at Opa Locka a couple years ago that looked like that one. John
hifly 925
Nice ones Richard especially to see an Islander there, originally built on the Isle of Wight, my birthplace. Last year it celebrated it's 50th birthday. It's pretty ubiquitous, in the 80s in the Far East I saw one at every boondock airfield. AFAIK it's the UKs most sold aircraft. There's some great utube footage of bush pilots landing on the shortest dirt tracks. Flight 1 do a good sim of it, it's a boneshaking shoebox but it has got real charm. hifly 925
Thanks for that vid Richard, you can see how spritely she is. The Islander also holds the record for the shortest scheduled flight in the world between two islands off Scotland at <> three minutes depending on the wind. A simple, rugged little pit pony of a plane. Flight1s Islander is my favourite for a bit of low n' slow.
