problem with second screen

can anyone help me? I have two screens which work fine until I open FSX then one of them goes blank, as soon as I close FSX back it comes.

I'm kind of stabbing in the dark here.  

 

What shows on the second monitor when FSX is not running?

 

Is this MS FSX or FSX-SE?

 

Is FSX in windowed mode or full-screen?

 

If full-screen, does changing to windowed mode change the behavior of the second monitor?

 

If you open and un-dock a pop-up, can you drag it to the other screen?

I have FSX SE. I can drag and drop windows from one screen to the other. Makes no

difference what mode I am in.

all I have done is un plug everything so I could move it.

I have map on my second screen which opens no problem, it is only when I open FSX, it just goes blank.

This might appear to be a daft question but, have you set up multiple monitors in your nvidia settings?

Hey john, I've had this problem in the very distant past and have forgotten what I did to rectify it. 

Im away from home at the moment so not near my FS PC but when I return home, I'll see if I can remember what was wrong. 

Hang in there, we'll get it sorted somehow.

John, just a thought, if when you start up FSX and the second monitor goes blank, press Alt + Enter, what happens?

 Also add this line to your fsx.cfg:

ForceWindowedVSync

 

As I said I'm not on my FS PC so I forgot which section to place it in so try placing it in the [MAIN] section first.
