Disabling throttle control & rudder control from a Joystick?

Heya everyone,

As the title suggests, I need a way to disable the rudder and throttle control on my Saitek ST290 Pro (so that it only gives off Pitch and Roll).

This is because I want my rudder pedals to handle the rudder movement, and also my Saitek PFTQ to handle the throttle/spoiler input.

have you tried un-assigning the Throttle& Rudder functions of the stick under the 'axis' tab of joystick assignments? This is how i removed the throttle function from my Logitech Wingman Force 3D so it could be managed by my Saitek pro-flight throttle instead....
