Hi Guys,

Sorry this is a little vague but I had a problem with the game which is normally fairly reliable. I have posted on the AH forum also to see if they can shed any light also...

Basically FSX hung and wouldn't respond, nothing abnormal there, I usually keep regular saves to rectify this. But when I force quit this I noticed a com error box had appeared underneath. Now unfortunately I didn't note this down, but figured it was either to do with AH or REX 2 communicating with FSX.

Now I thought it would be an easy case of quitting everything and then just reload however I made another mistake somewhere which cost me dearly.

Basically I reloaded AH and then clicked on resume flight and it took me back to Deli Airport which was minus 3 hours of flight to Dubai International Airport. No problem I thought, I will just load the saved position. BIG MISTAKE on my part as when this loaded all hell broke loose and it slammed my Boeing 737 from 32000ft to 0ft instantly causing 110% damage. This also meant I failed the job so I lost 2% reputation.

Now I am not too worried about the 2% reputation or the almost

Repeating my response, slightly edited, to your post at the JF/AH site here for the benefit of those who may not frequent that site...

Of primary importance when dealing with any kind of FS crash during an AH flight is this - DO NOT RESTART AH!!!

You can do whatever you need to do to get FS up and running again, restoring from a saved flight, etc, however, you should leave AH up and running. It will auto-connect again once the sim is back on it's feet. If you cycle AH, you're going to end up back at the beginning or worse.

There's an article for a good safety net process in the "Useful Info and Top Tips" threads near the top of the Just Flight AH General Discussion forum, here...

I think your problem lies with Rex2. I have heard of a few people who experience random crashes when using the REX weather engine, I think it is down to also having a version of active sky installed. Easy fix, use REX for the textures and ASX for the weather and I've not had any crashes since

I don't have Active Sky, but I will check REX out a bit more, I had a quick look yesterday and noticed they do have service packs available which I am pretty sure I don't have installed, so this may cure the issue. I will download the latest one today and give it a go. Thanks...
