Same as JF:

Hi,

To prevent my brother having a sneep peak on my computer whilst I was on holiday, i removed the onboard battery, the CMOS cap and all SATA connections from the mainboard. I then replaced them all after a week, and now the system does not boot. I tried clearing the CMOS in the usual way, but no avail. What has the clumbsy Robbie done??

Help appriciated

It's not a chargeable battery so doesn't lose it's charge (well, eventually it would) - you taking it out for 8 days was no different than all the other CR2032's sitting in their blister packs on the shelf behind the till in Boots for months on end...

The battery is fine.
