Jaymom 0
Looking for a FSX AI tutorial such as the one found here for FS9. I don't want to add huge amounts of AI but just AI that I select from Flightsim.com. Just one or two a/c at a time. Harold

hurricanemk1c 195
Welcome Harold! I'd say that this tutorial - http://forum.mutleyshangar.com/index.php/topic/1896-tutorial-adding-custom-ai-traffic/ works fine in FSX. I'm not sure, but most things port over Enjoy yourself here - it's a great place! Kieran
Jaymom 0
No the FS9 tutorial will not work in FSX. I have used TTools in FS9 for years but it is a completely different process in FSX. Everdently no on here knows how to add a AI plane in FSX which is what i am after. I am using Win7 64 bit if that makes a difference. Ok, sorry to interupt. Harold
Snowman 0
I too used TTools in FS9 for making flight plan BGLs for AI. If you have an existing FS9 Traffic File in BGL format, that you would like to use in FSX, there is an app available by Peter van der Veen called AIFPC ( AI Flightplan Compiler/Decompiler) that will decompile your FS9 flightplan, and recompile it in FSX format. I have done this with dozens of traffic files from FS9 that i now use in FSX. Most FS9 AI aircraft will all work fine in FSX just as they are. Place the AI Aircraft in your FSX / SimObjects / Airplanes folder. (Some people place the AI Aircraft in FSX / SimObjects / Misc folder. THis stops them from being displayed in the aircraft selection menu.). The newly recompiled traffic file that was done in AIFPC goes in the FSX / Scenery / World / Scenery folder. Hope this is of some help to you. Lawrie.
allardjd 1,853
I have that - have only used it in FS9 but it's supposed to work in either and can move files from one to the other. John
