gigemaggs99 0
SWEET! Ok thank you I too like using Plan-G from this PC and have it networked to the FSX PC can see it and vice versa. So basically all I need to do is load up AH, get everything done there, then once I click on fly flight, and FSX loads up I can then Load my FP from Plan-G and all should work fine? gigemaggs99 0
? I have failed 1 job, got caught with the pc time. I was planning on flying the flight, then forgot it was ash wednesday so we went to church. When I came home I completed the flight but it said I failed b/c I was late in completing it. So I have 10 completed and 1 failed. I also have 1 job that is pending, but it's behind on the hours. So I assume I will fail that one too? If so, do I need to complete it or not be in a big hurry to complete it? Is late = late, or the longer it goes the worse it gets? My rank is CPL, I guess that's good? allardjd 1,853
Late, even by one minute, costs a reputation hit and most of the revenue for the flight. I don't remember for sure but I don't think it gets worse if more time passes before completing the flight. The reputation hit certainly does not get worse over time - just not sure about the revenue. It's reduced to a pittance already. You do have the option to just cancel the job. You'll get the reputation hit and zero revenue but will have saved the time, fuel and landing fee it would cost to make the flight. Unless you think you can make the flight for 10% of the revenue, you're probably better off to just cancel it, but be sure the cargo is not loaded on your AC before doing so. gigemaggs99 0
I have my range set on the AC to 35nm and the slider in AH for distance set about 1/4 the way from the left. I have the cargo size slider set to the first bar from the left Also the airport size I set smack bang in the middle Not sure if any of this will help but there you go - try it and see Maybe it's just timing, but I have these settings you have listed above and I have yet to see a job going into or out of Concrete. One thing, how do I go about setting the range on my AC to 35nm?
allardjd 1,853
Quote ...how do I go about setting the range on my AC... Main Menu -> Fleet -> Select Desired Aircraft (Left-click to highlight) -> Right Click -> Aircraft Details Understand that the jobs on the board will remain until they are completed or expire, so it will take up to 72 hours for the board to totally repopulate. John So setting the "range" of my C172 to "35nm" will make Concrete show up? I'm confused, it seems like that will only allow me to fly my C172 <36nm right?
allardjd 1,853
Quote it seems like that will only allow me to fly my C172 <36nm right? No, that's not now it works. Setting the range in AH Aircraft Details has no effect on how the AC behaves in FS. That only biases the AH job generation routine - nothing else. Note, however that there is a lot of varibility built into AH intentionally. Some jobs will be further than 35 miles, heaveier than you can carry and perhaps to water runways or heliports that you cannot use. It's up to you to pick the appropriate jobs and disregard the rest. gigemaggs99 0
Well after a few weeks and TIME spent reinstalling FSX I'm trying to get AH back on my machine. I had to uninstall everything and start from scratch. Sure does take time. My question is, can I pick up with my prior company? I do not have the files on my HD since I had to start over but the server has my information. Can I pick up where I left off or do I just start another one? Thanks.
allardjd 1,853
From the Useful Info and Top Tips thread at JF, this is the process for backing up and re-installing AH. If you have the correct files and follow the directions below you might be OK. BACKING UP AIRHAULER (Updated - 01/27/11) You need to copy 2 items 1) The ah9.mdb and/or ahX.mdb file in the AirHauler folder, depending upon whether you are using FS9, FSX or both, and the user_details.mdb file from the same locaton.. 2) Your company file(s) in the Company folder which will be a .mdb file with the name you originally set the company up as. There will be one file for each company. If AH is open, you will also see ldb files there. Those do not need to be backed up - AH deletes them on closing and will re-create them on start-up. - - - - New Information, added in 01-11 - - - - Before copying the company file(s) from the AH/Company folder, ensure all jobs are completed or not started/in-progress (i.e. AI are idle). Note that when you reinstall, scenery references may have changed if you've modified or added scenery to FS. Proceed as follows: - Install AH but DON'T run it - Install the most recent AH Service Pack (SP4 at this writing) - Run AH, create a new test company - Import scenery - Quit AH - Copy back your Company - Run AH - Go to Options -> Integrity Check If the integrigy check does not indicate any problems you may safely resume company operations. gigemaggs99 0
Thank you sir, I'll give it a shot. I guess starting over isn't the worst case. Would be nice to get my previous company up and running. Thanks again.
