Landing the iFly 737-800 for the first time

Recommended Posts

This is my first landing in the iFly737 - could not figure out the autopilot so I overshot the approach. I did manage to back track and get back on course but was not as smooth as I would have liked it. OMG I am beginning to become a real tube-head :) No ILS or aids on this landing purely me and visual using the glide slope indicators on the edge of the runway.

From memory on the PMDG 737, you have to select the right NAV1/NAV2 frequency for the runway, engage 'APR', then the two CMD (CMD1/2). That 'should' take you down

Don't know what you are complaining about that landing - smoother than some I've had!

I wasn't complaining don't get me wrong but I thought it would get the critics going in the house :) I have just flown from Birmingham to East Midlands and the landing was horrid - I am very tired I will blame that ;)

Hi Jim ! That´s a very nice descent and it was a very good flare and landing, when we remember that you only had the PAPI used as a help. On visual, well done !. If you have Questions about AP approach or manual with IFR- approach- Charts, just ask. :thum:

cheers, max.

Every beginning is difficult. But I think you'll make it. Looks more complicated than it really is. So,
