Nail on the head review

Recommended Posts

The caption from a picture in the review of a Stearman parked in the grass:

"The Stearman was originally designed for grass strips. Here it is in its natural habitat.

So why did I get dinged on a challenge for landing on the grass instead of the pavement

at a small, back country airstrip? Dumb."

Seems more like a nail "in" the head review to me. Dumber! And were we supposed to feel compassion when even the reviewer's modest (albeit unrealistic) hopes were so cruelly dashed by Microsoft? What a whiner!

Or a game pad...

Real gamers can't be bothered with all those confusing letters and numbers on the keyboard.

Some of the newcomers to a certain site are actually saying they prefer to play flight with a mouse or x-box controller now, this is the site MS Flight reps take notice of too!

LOL, I'm a passionate flight simmer for sure, angry at first about how we were deceived but accepting it now, where were the shots of golden hoops and aero caches in the run up to Flights release with all their great screen shots and video's?, they led us all up a garden path ... and you made a great point in another post John, from an earlier PC Pilot interview from early 2011 about how the intention was to embrace the hard core that had made the Flight Sim series such a success in MS Flight, now this Joshua guy is demonising the older fans and anyone critical of the new direction ... I'm not a good writer but his people skills are diabolical, he is also burning bridges left right and centre... for his sake Flight had better be a long term success because MS will hold him responsible if it fails or flops.

But I've decided after that interview I wont be buying Alaska, I've given Flight a fair run and fair play ... a real good crack of the whip and I'm bored with it already ... I've tried the free download and Hawaii adventure pack and Maule aircraft too for a proper taste of what's on offer ... they must have high hopes if they think they can sell many cockpit less add on aircraft like the Mustang ... even if it is cheap for them to produce.

Flight, its not for me.
