petermcleland 48 Posted March 5, 2012 Report Share Posted March 5, 2012 I thought I would start my flight back from Molokai to Honolulu at Dusk:- That is Oahu in the distance with the Sun setting behind it. Leaving the coast of Molokai on my left as I start the sea crossing. The instrument panel in this aeroplane is a bit basic for night flying, but combined with the HUD strip does provide a usable limited panel. Here is the coast of Oahu. And now I can see the strobes of Hololulu International in the distance. Clearer now with some runway approach lights. The city is on my right... ...and the runway PAPI lights are to my left. Nicely settled on the approach and... Touching down. Shortly after this shot, I crashed into one of those taxi signs and was admonished with a "Careless!" So that was the end of the flight.
