I think this will be a game changer - for better or worse. Now they are going directly into ORBX and Flight1 territory. This scenery, a couple of more aircraft, and before you know it people are too invested in Flight DLC to look back. Flight will not recruit FSX'ers. Flight will make FSX look like a dinosaur for newcomers. Wild guesses?

I mentioned this in the pinned thread here and see there are some screen shots doing the rounds now, as normal the screen shots look quite good, but I'll wait and see for this one for sure, they need to be careful with pricing for this one too I think.

Hope they fix some of the major bugs for the core game before releasing this.

I ask this seriously because I don't know. Are there any navaids in Flight, or do you just fly toward the big rotating green mission icon? Are there working NDBs and VORs in the correct places on the correct frequencies, and are there NAV radios and ADFs to receive them? Are the airways and intersections and waypoints defined in MSF? Hawaii was one thing - hard to imagine Alaska on dead reckoning, though I guess the mission icons would be a big help. ;)

I saw some of Alaska when in Redmond and it certainly should have some interest for the Bush Pilots among us. John - there are Navaids in Flight.

Doesn't mention navaids in the MS FLIGHT Manual, Jon. Is this something you've seen at Microsoft?

Cheers - Dai.

Found this on another forum .......

If you press "M" to open the Map, then click on Legend, it will open a panel on the right side of the screen. Place a check mark in the "Radio Navigation" box to enable the map's display.

All navaids will now be displayed on the Map. Hover the mouse over the map's icons to see the frequency. Note that at this time only the Vans RV-6 and the Maule have working nav radios and VOR heads.
