allardjd 1,853
OK, I see you've updated the Sim Version field of your profile info - it said FS 2002 at the time I answered the original post. First, check the AH version... Options -> About It should say Ver. 1.54 (SP 4.1). If it's anything else, go to the main JF site, Support section, and get your AH updated to the current version. Then, check in... Options -> Options -> Paths and make sure the two paths there are correct, particularly the one that points to FSX. Also, you should be running both FSX and AH as admin. Finally you might want to get the registry fix utility and run that. It's available from... http://updates.justflight.info/jf/Misc/fixreg.exe ...or here... http://www.flight1software.com/files/FS_Registry_Repair.exe If that doesn't fix it we'll get Slopey to wander by here and have a look. Good luck... John
PanzerFodder 0
just a shot in the dark, delete the default company that AH loads with when you first install it. Just asking because that one appears to be set up for FS2004, I had a few problems when I started a new company with airhauler in FSX due to that one?. Cheer's...Graham... chav_34 0
Hi John And thank you for getting back in touch. I have checked which version I am running and it is current(1.54-sp4.1) I have checked the current path to fsx and it appears to be correct I would say at this point that I already have a company started which I have been using since the release of Air Hauler but upon wishing to start a new company I have encontered this problem. I did remove my current company just to experiment to see if that would reset AH I did not delete the file just moved it to the desk top, doing so just made AH open then shut saying that their was an error. Reinstating the company file and I could access AH once again. Every thing is being run in admin and I did use the registry fix utility just in case so far no resolotion, could I ask is their any current repair utility for AH I did not want to reinstall my original software then have to go through the JF activation process as I had issues with this in the past, sorry for being a pain. Thank you again in advance take care David
chav_34 0
Hey Graham Thank you for your response, at current I only have one company active with is the one I created after installing AH I can not remember if their was a default company all ready present if one was I would have more than likely deleted that one at the start and initiated my own. Thank you for you input Kind Regards David
Sabre 28
Hey Graham Thank you for your response, at current I only have one company active with is the one I created after installing AH I can not remember if their was a default company all ready present if one was I would have more than likely deleted that one at the start and initiated my own. Thank you for you input Kind Regards David Hi David and welcome to the forum. It may well be worth double checking as myself and Graham had a similar problem I think (but may be wrong) that AH was defaulting to starting new companies in FS9 mode. I'm at work so can't check until later but I seem to recall it displaying FS9 somewhere towards the top of the menus when creating a new company. I'll check for you later when I get in. John may be able to confirm this or not as the case may be before I get back to you, it just seems to ring a bell with me for some reason.
chav_34 0
Hello Sabre And thank you for the warm welcome, I just recently started AH and I just by coincidence maby? got a message from AH saying it cant find my sim version(odd) this is after I select start new company any way I direct it to fsx.exe and even after this the error appears unhandeled exception continue or quit pressing continue then next just brings this box uo over and over again I can never get passed it and of course pressing quit closes AH Though my old company works fine AH can find the fsx.exe but just not when I want to start a new company, ran integrity check all ok their will I need to reinstall? Kind Regards David
allardjd 1,853
Do you have both FS9 and FSX installed on your computer? If so, it's highly likely that the registry entries for one or the other are screwed up (not your fault) and the registry fix utilities are supposed to set that straight. If that's not it, I'm over my head but Slopey will be able to figure it out, I think. John
