UKJim 502
I would like to put a planned hold in RC4 - I can programme it into my FMC on the plane but the ATC wants me to land - is there a way to put a hold in the plan? Cheers, Jim
allardjd 1,853
RC4 has a setting for holds but it's limited. You can set it for Never, Always or Sometimes (or something along those lines). It only gives you holds at the end of your route, within a certain distance of the airport. Enroute holds are not supported, as far as I know. John

allardjd 1,853
Well, holds in the RW are kind of a pop-up thing anyway. You don't include them in your flight plan, they are inflicted upon you when ATC is having congestion (or when you've made them angry), so they really aren't planned entities. The "Sometimes" setting is probably most realistic, and holds near your arrival airport are also realistic, but so are enroute holds and it won't do them. John
