A truly iconic carrier based fighter jet of the Vietnam war era. The powerful Crusader was born ready to dogfight the Migs. I take a look at the Vought F-8 Crusader (brought to you by Restauravia) and tackle a difficult landing on the carrier... watch me fail miserably before my final success. 'Magnificent Lightning' The Kyushu J7W Shinden (X-Plane)
davesimmons replied to davesimmons's topic in Videos
Thanks Joe, that's much appreciated. -
The unique canard layout Kyushu J7W Shinden was designed during WWII to intercept high flying B29's bombing the Japanese homeland. Only two prototypes were ever produced and three flights made before the end of the war and the project abandoned. In this flight I take the Shinden from Nagasaki RJFU to Fukuoka RJFF. A significant aeroplane that's not well known especially outside the USA, I take a look at the ERCO Ercoupe 415C produced as freeware for X-Plane by the French developers XPFR. A nice gentle flight from Royal Marines base Chivenor EGDC to Eaglescott Airfield EGHU. If you like this video and would like to see more, please subscribe to my channel: Simmo2Sim Please enjoy!

The Quadricopter - Sint Maarten Mercy Dash (X-Plane jpb63)
davesimmons replied to davesimmons's topic in Videos
Sorry Joe, I think I was trying to embed rich text rather than plain text from a .txt file and that's why the video link did not appear. Please don't be angry with me but I can't see where the posting rules are located. Thanks- 3 replies

Future drone development may see the skies filled with small and large autonomous flying vehicles acting as taxis or being used to transport goods or even used for fighting fires on high-rise buildings. In this video I review the Quadricopter produced for X-Plane 11 by jpb63 and use it for a medical emergency on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten. Today we are at Williamtown, New South Wales, Australia - home of the 75th Squadron of the Royal Australian Air Force. In this video I review the Dassault Mirage IIIO which is the Australian version of the IIIE multi role combat aircraft. the "French lady" or the "Miracle", as she was sometimes known, was the longest serving fighter aircraft in the history of the Royal Australian Air Force with over 20 years service. The type was retired in 1989. If you like this video and would like to see more, please subscribe to my channel: Simmo2Sim Please enjoy!

Thankyou for your comment Doering. Yes I await X-Plane 12 eagerly. Better general scenery graphics will certainly be less jarring and hopefully I won't have to rely so much on downloaded photoscenery.

The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was an experimental aircraft made in the 1950's to research speeds above Mach 2. Unfortunately the engine used was not good enough to power it to the required speed and the project was shelved after only a few test flights. This freeware version of the Stiletto has been produced for the X-Plane community by Dan Hopgood and has been fictionally equiped with engines of the correct power requirement to give us the aircraft that should have been. In this flight I takeoff from Edwards AFB for a test flight and take the plane to Mach 2. If you like this video

A quick review and flight of the Alizé which was a French carrier-based anti-submarine warfare aircraft developed in the 1950s. It was equiped with sonobuoys and a CSF radar system with a retractable antenna dome. It could also carry a Mk 43 torpedo or depth charges. The cockpit accommodated a crew of three, Pilot, navigator and radar operator. If you like this video and would like to see more, please subscribe to my channel: Simmo2Sim Please enjoy!

A quick review of the Zlin Z-142 developed by PWDT & NHAdrian for X-Plane 11. This is a high detailed light sport plane and aerobatic trainer made by Moravan Aviation in Czechoslovakia. In this flight at LFQW I take in the sights of the peaceful town of Vesoul in France. Ideal for taking the whole family on a jolly jaunt? Moraine had a short collaboration with Beech Aircraft to market the MS760, with it's unusual seating arrangement as an early executive business jet. In this short flight I take the MS760 from Dubrovnic LDDU to Tivat LYTV. If you like this video and would like to see more, please subscribe to my channel: Simmo2Sim Please enjoy!
