  1. I always think that FSS is a bit pricey aircraft wise (even when they are on sale at that store :( ).

Most of my FSX add-ons come from PC Aviator store http://www.pcaviator...ome.php?cat=705 they have been having a "Deal of the day" sale for several months now (in fact the sale item is always on sale for seven day's and if you wait for what they call 10 off Tuesday, you can get it with an extra 10% discount ;) ).

Also have a look at the Flight 1 weekly sale and there's often some good deals at the Aerosoft main website as well, I have bought some real jems at that one :) .

  2. Hi John.

Glad that you have sort of half fixed the problem ;) .

I would still try another vid card, just to see if the problem starts again with it in your system, as I think that the "on-board graphics" is pulling a lot less power than a GTX580, if it starts crashing again I think you should investigate your PSU a bit more as I have known a few people that have had high end psu's pack up on them ;) .

Don't know what brand of video card and PSU you have but better look for the invoices ASAP if you still have some warranty left on it :) .

  3. Sorry to hear about your pc problems :( .

Like Dizzy said! check you PSU, just in case you got a bad one, I had one go bad on me once and the system used to shut down everytime I tried to start a game, (I mean a complete PC shut down, not just a CTD)

  4. Hey Jim

You should have a chat with Sabre, he and a few others have a regular Arma 2 multi-player shoot up on Sundays, they are always looking for new people to join in :) .

BTW: I have also been off FSX for a week or so, bought the DCS A10c warthog in the steam sale and can't leave it alone ATM "LOL" :D .

  5. Hi Micke!

Excellent shots - you've given me an idea to increase time in the iFly 737, but I did notice one thing missing - where are the Ryanair's on the ground at Dublin?

    And here's LN-RRX at Dublin, 12/7/09

  7. I had the A380 running with a Thomas Ruth A340 VC the other day, I did have a good link for how to do it but it looks like the site is down ATM :(

Here is a thread that has the link I used, you should be able to use it when the site is back up, also has a shot of the Tom VC and a few tips at the end of the thread

    http://forum.avsim.net/topic/296514-project-airbus-a380-for-fsx-released/

Failing that here is a link for a PA 380 that has already had the Tom Ruth VC fatted ;) (you might be able to open up the files and see whats need to fit the VC to your other PA380 as well ;) )

It's the 3rd one down the page called "Project Airbus A380 with Thomas Ruth A340 virtual cockpit painted in British Airways livery by Stephen Browning"

  8. Hey John.

I saw a post on the JustFlight forum a couple of weeks ago, where they said that a brand new JF traffic program may be released in the future, so if your money is not burning a hole in your pocket in may be worth hanging on a bit to see if that one is any good ;).

(sorry can't find the post right now, but will PM the link to you if I come across it again :) )

  9. But, Lord knows where that other 'small' light-house comes from!

    Cheers - Dai.

    Hi Dai.

Thanks for the link, and yes that does look like one of my lighthouses "LOL" :D, have no idea were the smallest one came from? must have been a freeware goody that I could not resist at the time and now have no ruddy idea were I got it from, and it does not appear to be in my add on scenery files, so it looks like I'm stuck with it for now! :th_blush: .

Although they could be good for short cargo flights in AH, Needles # 1 to Needles # 2. Distance 25 feet. fee $69,000 :thum::D :D
