Hi Kieran,

This is a real tricky one. Once you know how to do it, it seems so easy but I remember when I started it was a minefield, no kidding.

The basic tools required are

1. An image editing software program with the facility of editing different layers, Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop for example (Payware), there are usually time limited demos available for these products, or Google it for one of of the many freeware programs out there.

2. A decent freeware aircraft package like Project OpenSky, http://www.projectopensky.com/ you will need to download the base aircraft package AND the paint kit which basically is the unpainted sections of the aircraft.

3. Martin Wrights DXTBmp http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/pr ... dxtbmp.htm

4. A decent tutorial http://www.jz-server.de/tut-7/index.html

5. A lot of patience and trial and error!

All the help and advice I could offer would be in the above tutorial, you may have to read it time and time again but the answers are usually in there.

By all means ask questions and we will help if we can.

Cheers
